hi to everybody - fisher here :obliviongate:

so i just want to know who your cureent character is, what there doing, and their background stories :toughninja:

right so i suppose ill tell you my one first .... :cryvaultboy:

so ive got this wood elf * tree hugger- ill tell you later* called *manihold drenlith*, hes getting on in age, with a cool grey hairstyle, but not alot to his name...yet

ive been working on his back ground story and think ive found a pretty thrilling one-

so manihold was born in the deep forests of valenwood, in a thriving wood-elf village, his mother was a talented healer and midwife, his father ran a succesfull buisness as a shopkeeper.
he soon became apparant that manihold was very clever, he was always picked upon by the other children , therefor had very little social contact.still manihold wasent too worried, he spent most days with his father, who taught him everythign he know about his trade, and soon trusted to run the shop whilst he went to other counties to recive special deliviries.
he was talented in the uses of plants aswell, and at the age of 8 could whip up an ecellant draught to cure most illnesses.
now, in maniholds day, books were a rareity and very exspencive, even in the richer counties such as cyrodil they were more uncommon.
on his 14th birthday, his farther gave him a rather p;d and dusty mages tomb, manihold knew both cyrodillic and elvenish and his mother had taught him how to read and write, as he pored into the dusty volume ( and finshed it in a surprisingly short time) he learnt of the mages guild, an organisation dedicated to the art of magics. his father had never allowed manihold to use, or even read about magic, and had clearly not known what the book was about.

over the followign years, manihold managed to scavange 3 mroe books on magic away form his father ( due to him useing a spell to magically enhance the volume of his wine)

at 19 years old, tradagey befalled manihold, his mother was killed by bandits whilst on a return journey from her midwinfing duties, driven by grief manihodl departs the scene, with a handfull of gold and the clotheso n his back.

he travels for many years, living a rather flighty exsistance, finding a job here or there, sleeping under the stars, even hunting for his own dinner!

our woodelf friend emerges in the land of elywer, in a distant port town, now a dahsingly handsome young man.

news from the north is not good, war rages across this patch of land, and as the enemys soilders march further towards the town, fearing for his life, manihold flees on a *passenger* ship.

it soons become apparant that manihold has fallen into a trap, and has came across some slave smugglers!

he is sodl to some rich imperial in black marsh, and lives a misrable exsistance as a slave for many years, his master is cruel and beatings are commonplace in this violant world. one day, he finally manages to escape, on the run from the imperial legion, he returns home, disatar meets him.

all he finds in his burnt down home is his fathers skelton, a handfull of black candals and a note " for crimes against the mages guild- but thats it*

several decades later, manihold is now living in a pretty skyrim village, a loacal at the pub * partially because hes the cleaner, but the ales good aswell*
but when a large group of mages swoop down apon the town, wrecking death and destruction everywhere, manihold mages to desperatly escape into the dreaded cyrodil, only to be arrested by several battalemages, accused of several murderes he hasent done * and some petty thievery he may have done...at some time in his travels* and he is chucked into the imperial prison for life, when he escapes the first thing he does it approach the mages guild, not to try and find otu why his farther was killed, because he tried that a decade or so ago in daggerfall- no to JOIN it.

but as manihold advances into the guild, will he find the terrable secrets that lie behing his farthers shady death?
and when he does, can he ocmpesate the truth?

what do you guys think

you may now post :mohawk:

Nice story! Hes not a very lucky elf. I would love to play a wood elf but i find the Eldar scrolls imagining of wood elves is terrible, i find them all so annoying!!
I wish they had been true wood elves. You will have to return to tell us how his journey goes!

My current character? I only have one in game at the moment, but after a re-write of her journal, another character will be joining her in Cyrodiil.

Her name is Helena Aurelie. She was born in her family home just outside of Jehanna in the Western Reach area of High Rock. She grew up there, going to school in Jehanna and studying healing magics at home with her mother, Aila.
I'm currently in the process of re-writing her journal, so the full details of her time before 3E433 are up in the air.

The character that'll soon be joining her is her childhood friend, Verric Thane. Also a Breton. However, there is a great deal of difference between their families. Verric's father is a powerful Sorcerer with no real care for his son. I think Verric will end up as a Scholar or an Alchemist, but again, I'm not sure.

(For the record, I'm Count Lauriel, I just lost that account during the last hack on these forums).

My character is named http://i1113.photobucket.com/albums/k505/mirocu/Oblivion2011-01-1021-57-14-49.jpg. He is a Dunmer with whom I′ve gone through a lot, and it took a while until I got his true name. Before that he carried my name and it didn′t sound good for an elf.
He′s an avid spellcaster and alchemist and he has been to every corner of Cyrodiil over the almost five years we′ve travelled together. He has two very good friends who has helped him in different ways. The first one is Ongar the World-Weary in Bruma, where Lothran has his home. Ongar helped Lothran a lot when he was young and septim-less :whistling:
The other friend is Buffy the Bowgirl, Acadian′s Wood Elf. She visited him in both Bruma and Anvil and they have met elsewhere too. Lothran considers her to be a very nice friend with a big heart and he would miss her greatly, should she decide to travel to Skyrim :cold:

The girl I play is an ex Buoyant Armiger and wannabe archeologist.Well, all that means is that she is not a professional one. She's humble, sensible, opinionated, domineering and likes to be in charge of things She was born to a farmer (mother) and a Temple priest (father). When she hit 19, she won a marksman duel against a trainer of the Temple and decided she should become a knight in the service of Vivec.

For the next 12-13 years, she fought slaughterfishes, cliffracers, vampires, escorted pilgrims and in her free time, explore Dwemer ruins with friends or went out drinking. She's fascinated by the Dwemer.
During her last mission as an Armiger, she was sent to take out some vampires at a Dwemer ruin. Not getting into details but one night she went there, alone, to take back her Dwemer Shortsword which she enchanted the other day.She saw the corpse of a smuggler-assassin, probably a Morag Tong outcast. She never knew that someone was watching her.Weeks later, her father was attacked by an assassin late at night. She decided it was better to leave Morrowind, at least for a while (6 years heh...).She heared rumors of the civil war that Helseth started and thought it was better to stay away from those things.

She was called to Cyrodiil by an old-time friend, who was getting married.Unfortunately, before arrving in Skingrad, she and the people she had been travelling with stopped at an inn in Chorrol.Already drunk, she found some skooma and decided to try it with her friends. They trashed the inn.The guards came. Her friends managed to escape, but she was arrested. Two weeks later, the Emperor freed her.Dwelling in a prison was a very, very lonely time.
Her name's Aelah/Aelyn by the way.Has a drinking problem.

My character is a Redguard named Khulain. Born under the sign of The Atronach, Khulain had a stronger tie to the forces of Nirn than most of his race. As is common amongst his people, Khulain was a highly skilled warrior, but he was drawn to the powers of Nirn.

As a young advlt, he encountered a Necromancer. This Necromancer hid his nature from most, but he revealed himself to Khulain once he learned of Khulain's desire to control the forces of Nirn. This Necromancer took Khulain under his guidance, and taught him what he knew of magic. Khulain learned quickly the arts of summoning. This Necromancer also taught Khulain the art of soul capturing, and taught Khulain of the arcane energies of souls, and how they could be used to create magical items of incredible power, and also to fuel those items.

Khulain used these talents he had been taught alongside his natural talent in combat, and was a fierce opponent on the battlefield. Yet no matter how strong he got, he always felt like he was being held back; his greatest gift was also his biggest curse. He'd quickly become exhausted by the use of his magical abilities, and unable to continue using his power. This frustrated Khulain; he had now had a taste of power, and once he lost it, his desire to get it back began to consume him. He obsessed over how to replenish himself. He'd go to alchemists to try to find a solution, but their potions only helped a little bit. He needed more.

He returned to the Necromancer who had trained him. His master pulled him aside and showed him something: a glowing blue stone. The Necromancer explained to Khulain that this stone was a Welkynd Stone, common in Cyrodiil, scattered throughout the ancient Aylied Ruins. The Necromancer gave the stone to Khulain, and immediately he felt his energy coming back to him. The essence of the stone drained away, but Khulain once again felt powerful. He had recaptured his lost power. The Necromancer gave Khulain a small supply of the stones to use in his journeys.

Giving in to the power that the stones gave him, Khulain quickly exhausted his stones. He needed more. The Necromancer told Khulain that he should travel to Cyrodiil, where he'd be able to find as many as he needed, scattered throughout the old Aylied Ruins. This wasn't good enough for Khulain; he needed power now. Once again becoming obsessed, he was driven into a rage. In this rage, he brutalized and slaughtered the Necromancer who had taught him everything. His master now dead, Khulain took the Necromancer's remaining stones.

However, Khulain was now forced into hiding. It was soon discovered that he had slaughtered the Necromancer, and with the Necromancer's true nature being unknown to the populace, Khulain was wanted for murder. He attempted to flee Morrowind, where the Necromancer had spent years training Khulain. However, he was captured as he tried to cross the border into Cyrodiil. After a long resistance, Khulain was finally defeated, and taken into custody. He was thrown into the dungeon where he was left to rot for years. After years in the prison, his skills began to weaken. His thirst for power grew the longer he was away from it, but as his powers weakened he was able to rationalize the reality that he'd never get it back.

Then, without explanation as to why, Khulain was removed from his cell. All he overheard was that he was to be moved to the Imperial City in Cyrodiil, where he would finish out his sentence. He was tossed into his new cell upon arrival in the Imperial City. The next morning, he was awoken by a disturbance outside his cell. After he had awoken, a group of Blades escorting the Emperor came into his cell. The Emperor explained that he had been targeted for assassination, and spoke of Khulain being "the one from his dreams". This incident allowed Khulain to escape from his cell, and upon encountering the Emperor and his Blades once more, Khulain learned of the beginning of the Oblivion invasion upon Tamriel.

Once a loyal soldier in the Imperial armies, Khulain saw an opportunity to serve his Empire once more. Khulain left the Imperial City sewers with full intention of delivering the Amulet of Kings, and completing his orders from his Emperor. Yet, as soon as he stepped out of the sewers, he saw it. Just across the water was what he had attempted to flee to Cyrodiil to find. The Ayleid Ruins stood just in front of him. He was now free. He knew now that there was nothing that could stop him from achieving his desire of power. For power corrupts absolutely. The hunger may subside, but it never goes away. Khulain's lust for power had never gone away, and now he knew it was time to satisfy that desire.

I play as a Nord named Thor. He was born in Skyrim but got thrown in the Imperial Prison for smuggling. He got released upon the orders of the Emperor. He was sent to Vvardenfell and ordered to fing Cais Cosades, then... well, you know the rest. Anyway, he went on an expedition to Akavir but, midway through the journey, he was transported by... something to the Imperial Prison (again). Nobody recognised him and he spent a year in his cell. But, he escaped with the Emperor and his blades. Skip forward a year or two (you know the story).
Eventually, he retired and lived much of his life in Skingrad. But, one day while hunting in the Jerall Mountains, he mysteriously dissappeared, transported two centuries into the future. Again, finding himself a prisoner, he was being led to his execution. But, suddenly... Stay tuned for more info :P

There are of course, rumours that he has been in prison twice before. Each time he was released because of the Emperor... :P He has certainly had an eventful life.
