Rare armor

One thing I'm hoping to see carried over from Morrowind is the setup with Daedric armor. In Oblivion, all you had to do is get to level twenty and within three minutes you could have five sets of full Daedric armor. Absolutely no fun.

In Morrowind (GOTY), there were but two full sets of Daedric armor. And, if you didn't want to kill the almighty and 'essential' Divayth Fyr, you'd need to travel across the land and look http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Tribunal:Norenen-dur http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Druscashti http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Bloodmoon:Castle_Karstaag to find the second full set. Even better, who remembers just how obscure the location of the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Tukushapal was? Now that was challenging.

I'm hoping in Skyrim there is an incredibly rare armor set that actually poses as a challenge for players to obtain. Doesn't have to be Daedric, though I wouldn't mind it as Daedric armor is a trademark of TES. Haven't they announced some sort of special dragon armor that's either heavy or light, and the best armor in the game? I thought I read it somewhere.

Well I think it was confirmed, or just heavily assumed, that armor is a lot more rare in Skyrim. I know Pete said that people like bandits won't be wearing Daedric armor at a high level

Morrowind may not have had that problem with armor, but it definitely did with weapons. At later levels you could go to a daedric shrine and get something like 3 daedric claymores.

I was bummed at how easy Daedric armor was to find in Oblivion... I'm hoping there will be some sort of rare armor that we actually have to work to get...

I'm hoping for some truly rare stuff this time around. Like maybe max 1 or 2 sets in the whole game of some pieces.

In Oblivion I would load myself down with weapons and armour and stuff, and hoof it back to town to sell it. In Morrowind I never really did that.

Perhaps it was the prevalence of armour and weapons on OB. Magic weapons, and bandits etc. with better armour were everywhere. Like OP said, in no time at all you would have top tier weapons and armour, all with enchantments. You'd find weapons worth 11,000 gold just lying around in crates.

In Morrowind, heavy armour users would most likely be wearing steel or imperial armour until they found that one NPC with some ebony or dwarven. And it was a challenge to kill him and take it. Rarely would you find a really good magic weapon, unless you knew in what very specific places to look.

I hope the challenge of working for armour and weapons returns. Sure, it may mean your wearing the same stuff for a while, but when you do find that enchanted sword or ebony helm, it feels like an accomplishment.
