Taryn

Female Dunmer

Born Serila Hlaalu, she was a misfit since her birth. Her father, a proud warrior of House Hlaalu, wanted a boy, a successor, from his first wife and didn't even try to hide his contempt for the little girl supposed to be his offspring and the woman that gave birth to her. After her mother succumbed to the severe and repeated beatings when she was 5, her father turned to her. The beating weren't the worst he did to her.
The father had children with other wives, boys, and trained them in the art of the sword. She watched from the shadows and learned what she could. During the nights, when she was hunted by nightmares and couldn't sleep, she took up the swords scattered in the training grounds and practiced, unbeknownst to her family. She learned fast. With 13 years she tried to challenge her father in a duel, but he would have none of it; after all she was a girl. She attacked him anyway and he was forced to defend himself. Ironically this girl that he despised since her birth, was the best pupil he ever had and he didn't even know until it was too late. She could not defeat him, but hurt him badly. For the unprovoked attack on a senior member of House Hlaalu she was exiled.
Her brothers could not accept that their sister was supposed to be a better fighter than them and hunted her through Vvardenfell to prove it, but one by one they fell by her sword. Nowhere to go, she turned to the wilderness. She lived with the Ashlanders for a time, but the last surviving brother tracked her down while she was hunting with a small group of the tribe, and when they returned, the camp was burned down and between the ashes lay the members of the tribe, men, women and children alike. Her brother waited for her in the center of the carnage and after a fierce duel, he was slain. The remaining hunters blamed her for their predicament and exiled her.
Alone again she resorted to a life on the unguarded roads of the province and soon was feared as 'The Ghost of the Roads'. This was when she finally found an opponent that bested her skill with the sword and she was defeated. This man, an Exalted Master of the Morag Tong, saw the potential hidden under the dirt and decided to train her. In the guild she honed her skills with the blade, but also was taught ethics and morale. With 17 she was ready for her first contract. Her father.
She snuck into the Hlaalu Manor in Balmora at night and assassinated her father while he slept. Standing above the dead body of her tormentor she started to cry. For her mother, herself and even her father. But mainly for the life that lay behind her. She didn't return to the Morag Tong.
She wanted to leave everything behind and start anew, elsewhere, and somehow she was drawn to Skyrim, land of the Nords. Little did she know of her real heritage and the destiny connected to it.
She went by the name Taryn.

But on one fateful trip, he crossed the border into Skyrim, where the crime of smuggling is punished by death. Will he survive?

Im interested to know what type of character everyone will be playing on your first playthrough? What factions do you plan on joining and what morals will you play by? Do you try to finish the main quest off right off the bat or just explore and mess around with the world? Do you plan on getting married? Or are you a lone wolf who travels alone?

Looking forward to reading about how you guys will be playing your first playthrough.

My first character will be a Nord who will have his own plot in Skyrim other than just the Alduin/dragon thing going on. I will be writing a story based on his adventures in Skyrim. I don't want to give out any spoilers on my fanfiction is about. PM me if you want to know what site it will be posted and when. Not to mention, I'm currently working on a prelude about a major character in my Skyrim fanfiction that I will likely be posting very soon on another fanfiction site.

He will take his time in completing the MQ, moving from village to village, town to town. He will fall in love with a villager, and eventually get married. He will have prejudices against Altmer and will get into a fight with one from time to time, especially after a few drinks. So, he's not a saint. He will probably join the Companions guild, as that falls into line with his morality/personality. He will also join the rebels, 'cause as a Nord he believes Skyrim shouldn't be part of the Empire. The first job he will have is at the wood mill in Riverwood. Eventually, he will become either a farmer or a blacksmith. He enjoys hunting and fishing (with his hands) as hobbies.

Name: Synok Seryanton
Race: Breton
Gender: Female
Age: 24
Discipline: Battlemage
Trade: Free lance Adventurer
Occupation: Craftsman (Both Smithing and Enchanting)
Alignment: Honourable, but ruthless to those who hurt others
Faction: The Companions, College of Winterhold, any other honorable faction I find
Prefered weapons and fighting style: Primary fighting style: I'm torn between Sword&Board (what my MW character was) and a single 1h sword with destruction magic as a secondary with a little alteration thrown in
Armour: Light or no armor (I used to go half and half, but with the merged armor I must adapt.
Appearance: Pale, Redhead, Green eyes (might go full black bosmer style if possible and looks decent, or maybe blind eye), some light scarring, possible tattoos

Backstory: A decendant of the Nerevarine, she grew up in a poor family since the wealth passed down from the Nerevarine long since squandered, she learned to support her own parents with her natural skill in smithing and enchanting. Named after her famous ancestor, she quickly found she was unnaturally talented in the same skills that her namesake was famous for, after earning enough wealth for her parents to fill out the rest of their lives in comfort she set out to make a name for herself as an adventurer. Heading on her way to Skyrim, supposedly the most dangerous land to be an adventure in, she stopped at a tavern near the border, conversing loudly of her plans. After killing a young man and most his friends (one mage was able to teleport away at the last second) who started to beat a waitress for dismissing his advances. She tried to quickly make her way across the border, when she got the border checkpoint she was instantly surrounded by guards and arrested. Apparently the man she killed was the son of the corrupt magistrate who ran the checkpoint, who was informed of her deeds by the escaped mage. She was sentenced to death without trial.

Name: Alucard.
Race: Argonian.
Gender: Male.
Age: 17.
Discipline: Clueless Reptile.
Trade: Lone Wanderer.
Occupation: Lost in the world of Nirn.
Alignment: Treats others like the way he likes to be treated.
Faction: Alone.
Prefered weapons and fighting style: Interpretive dance.
Armour: The latest fashion.
Appearance: An Orangeish Reptile with glowing eyes. Of course, he is the most ATTRACTIVE Argonian in all of Nirn.
Backstory: Alucard, the Lone Clueless Reptile, takes a stroll down the border of Skyrim, completely oblivious that he went too far from Cyrodiil. The cold-blooded Reptile was never bothered by the bite of the snow, for this certain Reptile is the toughest known to Nirn. He enjoyed the sights of bunnies ignorantly hopping around in the snow, and how the wind played a sweet song in his head. Alucard was ecstatic that day. When he thought this day couldn't get any better, he was confronted by multiple strangers. "Halt!" they shouted. "You must come with us!". Alucard happily went on with them, completely oblivious about the agenda for these men. "Brand new friends!", he thought. The feeling created more joy in this Argonian. (Would this Argonian ever stop getting so happy?) Although, he had a ringing question in his head on why fire, powerful force, and the halt of time would occur everytime he yawned, he would never know. At first, he thought he was a Dragon when he breathed fire, but smart Alucard knew that Dragons couldn't stop time or use the Force. Well, he had a surprise, but that is a story for later.

Forwards, onto the mountain he continues on with his new best friends, who had an odd strong grip around his arms....

Name: Allyiah Farleyne
Race: Dunmer
six: Female
Class type: Knight/Cleric
Age: 18

She is the daughter of a noble from Morrowind, that refused to be married off by her father, so she ran away at the age of 14 and was taken in by the Acolytes of Kynareth, and trained in the ways of the church. Now she travels around Tamriel trying to help the less fortunate and righting the wrongs. She will mostly be using heavy armor, maces and shields, with some magic, mostly restoration, but some illusion and destruction. Also she will do armor and weapons crafting, to repair and make her own armor.

This round I'm going to do something different from my usual play style. I'm going to run through the first time as fast as I can to complete the game, then take it slow and easy the next round.

On Oblivion -- every playthrough I've played, although it wasn't really many -- I'd finish loads of side-quests and be level 20+ before I even bothered to go see Jauffrey `-`

I'll be playing a female Nord. Didn't decide on the playstyle yet, but most probably will be a warrior with light stealth and magic. I'll be joining the Companions and the Stormcloaks unless the Empire seems more attractive. I won't touch the main quest for a while, I'll just walk around exploring and meeting people, doing small sidequests, and putting aside some money. I'll travel alone for a while too, (maybe only with a dog) and then I'll start having humanoid companions and get married later in the game.
