server problems?

brand new to the forum so sorry for posting noob question but all of a sudden i can't get on New Vegas...says servers are too busy,,,,anyone else?...also i haven't been playing long but i decided to play plasma weapoon,can anyone tell me what is thebest weapon to use and hints as to where to find it?...thank you in advance...pk

Well it matters which plasma you are considering using. If it's a standard plasma rifle or pistol then just go to the Gun Runners

Well you could go on a treasure hunt and try finding a unique one but I'm not the guy to ask i use laser and regular guns. Try searching up videos or look at "The Vault" it's a Fallout Wikipedia there will probably be info on there. Or you could ask around the forums.

I was experiencing the "servers are busy, try again later," message yesterday, too. Since I'm a newcomer to the whole, buying a game and having to go through Steam to play it, I was infuriated. Dug through several different threads about this issue ( seems to happen often) and saw where someone suggested starting the game through the Fallout Mod Manager. It worked for me and here's hoping it's a good work around for everyone else that may have missed that thread.
