Morrowind GOTY edition version changelog history?

Post » Fri Aug 26, 2011 2:51 pm

Hey, It's been a long time since I have been on the forums,

does someone know where I can find a detailed version changelog history? because I'd like to know the changes/fixes made from the old version I used to play on Xbox,
compared to the GOTY edition I am soon getting

the reason for this is because I want to know if I can still pull off the same starting trick of looting the census, quick drop, get told off, and get the stolen items back?
especially the key for the Guarded area?

also is there a lock or something to stop the expansions kicking in until a certain level or something? or is it immediate at game start?

and anything else I need to know about the GOTY editions version

Most of the changes you will never notice, since many are small updates or corrections for miscellaneous bugs, and also adds new script commands. They are important updates, but don't change how the game is played.
The major changes are a better Journal system, and all the new content.

Yes, you can still do that.
You can pretty much do all the same gameplay tricks unless they were actual bugs within the game code, most of them have been fixed.

The content from both expansions can be ignored until you are a high enough level. (between 20-25 usually)
Except that Dark Brotherhood assassins will attempt to kill you until you report the attacks to Apelles Matius in Ebonheart.
On Xbox, these attacks start at level 6. On PC they start at level 1, but there are many mods that prevent the attacks from happening until certain criteria are met.

If on PC, install the game in this order: Morrowind->Tribunal->Bloodmoon
Any version of GOTY has all the official patches.
