The Underdark has "Mage Equipment" as a requirement. Is it REALLY necessary to install that mod? From the comments section I gather that it's not a bug-free, stable mod. What would happen if I play The Underdark without it? WTF missing meshes everywhere?

I think you've either installed it wrong or it's the mage equipment. :) That's how much I know.

I'm sorry, I didn't understand. I've already installed the mod, but I've never been to Underdark yet. I don't think I'll see any errors, as I installed the mod successfully. What I wanted to learn was that what would happen if I don't install Mage Equipment? Would there be giant WTF missing meshes or only small problems? That mod seems to be buggy and it conflicts with Slof's Robe Trader, and the compatibility patch is not perfect. So I'd like to avoid installing it if possible.

I use it all the time and I've never installed Mage Equipment.

so I'm having this problem late in the Vampire Hunter quest. He's not following me, therefore, I can't complete the last battle. What' could be the matter?

Edit: nevermind. figured it out.

Hi! Im using Viconia and Stoker (with Vilja and Ruin-Tail)

I seem to have a problem with Viconia's dialogue. All of a sudden, when I try to tell her to "Follow me (armed/casual)", she'll just roam around the place (sometimes going into a different area altogether) Stoker works normally though. When I summon her, she appears naked (in her undies) and just stands at that place.

Considering that everyone else can accept commands properly, I'm thinking maybe mod conflict? Is there a way to maybe reset her?

Could take all her inventory and Resurrect her (open Counsel, select her with your mouse and type Resurrect ))

Problem is - I can't even access her inventory! Anyway, I tried debugging by unchecking the merged mods in my bashed patch and found the problem lay in Aellis' Bashed Delayers (which was probably because I used the delayer AFTER I recruited Viconia :P)

I'm using The Underdark Saga 1v2.
How do I respond to Viconia's advances? She keeps saying "I see something I desire...". When I try to flirt with her, she says "Take a bath!". Do I need to install a bath mod?

Edit: I figured out that this is going to be her response until we start the romance.

How did you get access to her inventory again?

I simply unchecked "Bashed Delayers - MERGED ONLY.esp" from the Merge Plugins tab in the Bash Patch :) My quest log is now full though ...

I'm using The Underdark Saga 1v2.
I tried "Getstage A909ViconiaQuest", but it returns an error. The original global "PRC1ViconiaQuest" does return a value though.

Edit after looking in TES4Edit, I see the readme was wrong. "PRC1ViconiaQuest" is correct.

Edit: Disregard don't think I got it installed correctly, when I found her she had no skin on her face, starting over new downloads and install.

Is there an edit I can do in the scripts that would help speed up the Companion initiated dialogs to move the quest along faster?

I might be doing something wrong, but I spent 40 RL (39 with Saerileth and Viconia) game hours and just got to ask her about the necklace. I am running both Saerileth and the Underdark Saga (377 meg omod), it seems like each conversation takes a week (in game time) and happens at midnight.

During that 40 hour game (starting over, fresh install, all mods BOSS, TES4Edit cleaned and Wyre Bashed) I had to disable Saerilith and Viconia mounts, whenever we Fast Traveled with their mounts CtD. Once I realized it was the mounts I disabled them. I just restarted and haven't picked them up yet, hoping this reinstall might help prevent the crashing as I would like to have their mounts, should know soon.

I seem to have gotten Viconia working correctly, she has started conversations once each 24 hours, instead of once a week.


Wonder if I'm getting the files mixed up with Saerileth. Is the V2.0 patch for OBSE or REG? I added the V2 to OBSE and I'm having couple of problems. Saerileth is no longer starting conversations every 24 hours and Sillari is causing CtD when Fast Traveling. Also is there any type of Walkthrough for Saerileth, it would be helpful to know what to expect?

I know I've been away for a long time. I promised I wouldn't do that but I did. I am re-engaging and will try and fix the final boss fight issue. I was also hoping that Greenwarden could finish the revoicing of the first quest but it doesn't look like that will happen.

I am toying with the idea of completely redoing this entire thing and removing the Underdark completely for a port to Skyrim. We'll see.

After catching up with everything here is my current plan.

1. Fix the current Underdark Saga so the boss fight at the end works. If I can't get it to work I'm simply going to remove it as I'm sick of screwing with it and who the heck is going to really play Oblivion once Skyrim comes out? Not me.

2. Take what is the old part one, quest one of Viconia with some extra stages in it and port that to Skyrim. I will also port Saerilith. Stoker I will probably not port unless I get a group of villagers standing at my door with torches and pitchforks.

The other stuff like Necromancer hunting and others are really too Oblivion oriented and I will leave those be as well.

Quite a lot of people who--leaving aside the issues associated with endorsing features still in flux--simply don't have the rigs to handle Skyrim properly, and don't want a buggy game that will lack a lot of great mods for at least a year. Yours will likely be one of those exceptions, but as someone who watched this mod community from the start, I saw just how long that took to get going.

Outside the endless and early series of leveling/scaling mod fixes, of course.

But I am delighted you're doing some fixes to Viconia. It remains the most extensive quest-oriented companion mod in Oblivion, and in my opinion, the best. Thanks for all your work, and may you enjoy your time under Skyrim's sun.

I'm going through the first quest of Viconia's. One update, Greenwarden will NOT be able to finish the re-voicing for the first quest. I'm very disappointed but there's nothing I can do about that. It is what it is. I'm going to continue to create a version that is separated out of the Underdark. I do not expect it to be ported over to Skyrim. It will be separate mod away from the Underdark Saga and completely independent. It will not require the Underdark or SI. That version will get ported to Skyrim.

In the meantime I am continuing testing of the Underdark Saga. There will be a couple of changes, mainly removal of a couple of stages that were causing problems, like the guard at the prison, etc and I will retry to fix the boss fight at the end.
