So many people are so protective of their own personal favourite things or personal visions of what is perfect that they'll write any deviance from that as a failure.
I loved Morrowind, but I find it very hard to play now. It was perfect, at the time, but now it's flaws become apparent and it's age is showing. Still good fun to play though.
The same can be said of Oblivion. There are things I preferred in Morrowind, and things I miss. There's also improvements in Oblivion. Things that I miss when I go back.
Skyrim will be flawed. Just as both Oblivion and Morrowind took things away and introduced new things at the same time, so will Skyrim. Some people won't like it, some will adapt, and most will appreciate Skyrim for what it is.
At the end of the day Bethesda evolves the series to be what they want it to be, not what we (the minority) the forum community want. For some it changes too much. It svcks, but such is the way life goes. For some every game provides improvement. For me they all have pros and cons. I do wish I could take the best bits from each, but I'm no programmer. As a beggar I can't be choosy.
I will have complaints with Skyrim. And I will provide that feedback. I'm still going to play the hell out of it though. Most importantly I'm going to wait until I actually get first hand, in depth experience before passing judgement. Too many people are jumping to conclusions without giving it a chance, which is such a shame.
Still, I guess haters are gonna hate. I just wish everyone weren't so damn negative about everything all the time.
