You dont need to sleep to level up?

HAHAHA... no it wasn't.

There were a lot of RPG where you could only level up in certain areas, be it a town, a training camp or during meditation. TES was hardly the one bringing this up the first time.

By that logic there is absolutely nothing TES has done that sets it apart from other series. There have been games with huge worlds, buttloads of quests, that combine magic, swordplay, and thievery, that have working economies, plenty of factions, etc, etc, etc. Does that mean that the TES series is just a generic collection of things that have all been done already, nothing to distinguish it from another? No, that'd be silly.

The mechanic and presentation of TES leveling was a quirk I enjoyed. That's all that was said, no need to blow this up like I was claiming it was the defining feature of the Elder Scrolls.

This change is rather annoying: it does add to the fluidity of the game but that never was a problem to me, only to the inept, mindless rabble that they are catering to now. I fear what they will do next in order to appeal to the masses. :banghead:

Having to sleep before you ding'ed did seem a bit odd, but to be honest it doesn't make much of a difference to me. So I find it hard to understand the original posters strong views. It's a small change in my opinion, one that I don't feel that strongly about.

Yes.Finally!
Makes complete sense not to sleep in order to level up.Character development is something rather progressive and the level doesn't exist in the TES universe, only the player is aware of it.So yes, this is good thing. For me, at least.
Not that I was bothered by the whole thing...

It's not like you could get extra multipliers after you were ready to level up, and yes, I know the leveling is different than OB's.

What do you care? You canceled your pre-order because of something trivial that I don't care to remember.

It seems people always have to find something to [censored] about.

I heard you don't even have to do anything, just press ok and save it for later.

Where is the challenge in finding a bed? It's a nuisance if anything, especially when all the beds say "You cannot sleep in owned beds"
