can I make an npc unkillable

Post » Fri Aug 26, 2011 11:58 pm

I am using a creature mod that allowed me to buy a pet. It travels with me. But he is always getting killed.

In there a way to make him essential or unkillablr so he is not always dying? I am not wanting to pump up his states and make him a killing machine or anything like that, I just want to keep him alive.

Is there someway this can be done with the consol?

Many thanks.

Adds a spell that lets you change the essential flag (amongst other things)

If you are using OBSE then you can use "setrefessential 1" on the pet (open console, click on the pet, type the command, enter)

otherwise you need to find the base ID and use the command setessential, as "setessential [baseID of pet] 1" though this will render all instances of the pet as essential, and is less recommended

Thank you for sharing that OBSE capability. Wonderful news for me! :foodndrink:
