I'm at Nellis AFB on the Still in the Dark quest searching for the Brotherhood of Steel holotape. I've completed all side quests (Ant Misbehaving, Sunshine Boogie, Volare, etc) and am "idolized". When I talk with Pearl she greets me as "friend" but there are no dialogue options. I've tried dismissing Veronica (follower), wearing Boomer's gear, etc but when I approach the gate (from inside or out) I'm immediately blown up. What am I missing? Is this a glitch?

No it's not a glitch it's a precaution in the game. Even if you are "idolized" by them they can't see you so they bomb you.

That's not true. Once you agree to help Pearl you can walk up to the front gate (from say: Field's Shack) without them shooting at you.

Um... I guess so. For me I get shot to [censored].
