I know that in Oblivion, the game pushes you into the various regions of the map, so that you explore most of it by the time you finish it. Does Daggerfall do this? So far, the only quests outside of the region of Daggerfall is the main quest qhich has told me to talk to the royals of Daggerfall, Sentinal and Wayrest. I'm curious if I'll be sent other places as I go along.

There are quests that send you to the Wrothgarian Mountains, the Dragontail Mountains, Orsinium, Menevia, the Isle of Balfiera, and Ykalon as I recall.
