Textures that go beyond the DX11/Hi-res - Blackfires Mod 2

Since I was told it is currently not possible to adjust many of the high-end graphics options via the developers console, I went looking for anything that I could find that would allow for mods that would go beyond the OEM versions of the DX11/Hi-Res texture packages and was suprised to find something that is fully compatible with the latest version of the game..1.9.

I know many of us tried or looked at that utility 'advanced graphics options' only to realize it did not pertain to version 1.9 and thus we were left without the ability to go beyond the hi-end defaults.

The particular mod that I found (and many others now) to be well worth installing is 'Blackfire Mod 2' package which was and still is being updated by a user from Brazil. I have installed this and can say I notice a big difference when it comes down to the level of detail in many of the enviornments. Road wear & tear, the grains in wood, grass, leaves, junk on the ground (clothes, food items) all are much more detailed. There are food items in much of the games buildings and with this mod each item is labeled with a brand name pertaining to that specific product.

This package will work with or without the OEM DX11/Hi-Res texture packages as well as DX9 of course. For the best results, you need to enable your GPU's Anistopic and Antialiasing options via whatever utility you use (e.g. nVIdia Control Panel, ATI Control Panel, nVIdia Inspector, nTune, etc.). Doing this will deep six those jaggies everyone cringes at when they see them.

NOTE: There will be a SLIGHT performance hit if you set these options to their highest values (e.g. Anistropic @ 16x, AA @ 16xQ CSAA, AA Transparency @ 8x Supersample, etc.). I am currently using these values however and still manage to achieve 50 FPS on average...which is more than enough to satisfy most gamers. Any FPS value over the value which produces a constant 'fluid-like' motion is useless in my opinion.

Below are two animated GIF files that speak for themselves. I don't know where in the game they were acquired, however, they do make me want to buy Scott toilet paper :)
