I like how Pistolero tiered his list so I'm going to do the same.
1. Guns, Lock pick, repair (essential for my style of play)
2. Survival, Barter, Speech ( Several good perks, recipes, lots of game checks)
3.Melee weapons, explosives, unarmed (usually pick one, good perks, adds variety to combat)
4. Medicine, Science, Sneak ( useful but non essential)
5. Energy weapons (not my thing)
