DLC on disc please

Post » Mon Aug 29, 2011 5:59 am

I do not have Xbox online, because i really don't play enough games, or spend enough time playing, to justify. So, can us non-on-liners expect a good old, physical DLC pack released? I'd pay 100 bottlecaps or more for it...

I know there is speculation of "one day" releasing GOTY like there was for Fallout 3, but when?? 3 months? 6 months? How many more DLC expansions will there be? I am tempted to ask people selling xboxes if they have NV DLC on their hard drives, please, i'd rather give my money to Bethesda...

Sorry, it is confirmed that they will not be releasing a standalone DLC pack. But a GOTY Edition, on the other hand...

I couldn't find anywhere that Fallout New Vegas won any GOTY awards. Unless you count 1Up.com's "Best Broken Game at Launch" for their 2010 GOTY awards. In that case releasing a GOTY edition would be false advertising, unless they really want to release a GOTY edition based on an award given for the best broken game. Since it's already been said the DLC won't be released on disc, I think that also rules out a GOTY edition as well, because that would require releasing DLC on disc, like the Fallout 3 GOTY edition. If they do in fact release some kind of game+DLC edition, I guess they could always include DLC download redemption codes, instead of a disc.

Ofc they will release a disc with the orginal game and all DLC. Anything else would be crazy moneywise, and money always rules.

Hopefully they will release a GOTY....what would be even better is if they took the opportunity to fix the bugs in the DLCs, and add the proper perks to the DLC weapons.

You do know how this "GOTY" works, right? You only need a single nomination for calling your game "Game of The Year". Metacritic chosed Super Mario Galaxy 2 the GOTY in 2010, so Nintendo can market the game all they want as GoTY. But the game really deserves the title? It was the only more or less "famous" award the game winned.
I'm not trying to diminish or bash FO3 nomination, don't get that way, but the game didn't win the 2008 nomination by critics and intitutions undoubtedly over other games like Fable II, LittleBigPlanet or Grand Theft Auto IV.
ME2 on the other hand owned the awards hard, being nominated and winning the majority of intitutions and magazines, some of wich are very respectufull, like BAFTA and AIAS organizations.

Bethesda only needs to make a poll asking the FNV fanbase who is the better game and voilá, a GoTY edition.
Or a special edition, complete edition, humongous edition and such.

I still hope we see an 'Complete Edition" of NV, it will be neat to have the game and all DLCs on hard copy.

Why would it matter? You still have to be online to play the dlc. At least that was the way it was for me with Oblivion and Fallout 3.

Do you have a friend who has them, he can put them on a disc himself and let you use them, how do you do this? You're asking the wrong person.

I was wondering that as well. All you have to do is plug into the internet anywhere..(you obviously can post on here.) and download the dlc. You do not have to be online to play purchased DLC.
