best thief/assassin build

Post » Tue Aug 30, 2011 5:01 am

I'm basically gonna build an assassin/thief type character. It kills people in their sleep, breaks into their houses, dispises beggars, steels stuff and sells to the highest bidder.

But, how is my build going to look?

I want at least, blade, light armor, marksman, and security. But what other skills should i pick?

also, is there any site or something that has awesome faces, with screenshots of the sliders so i can copy those faces?
shortly: i need every info i can get to make an awesome assassin/thief character.

Greeds and thx in advance!

dunno bout faces but for skills you probably want to add sneak, maybe illusion for invisibility, and maybe restoration or maybe mysticism for detect life.

My new Thief or Assassin, is always more of a nightblade but.....

I have Blade, Marksmanship, Destruction, Illusion, Light Armor, Sneak, either acrobatics or block. Couldn't remember

Now hear me out:

Destruction is so I can use weakness to poisons. It makes it fun and interesting, but Bow is still my range killer. Illusion is a must. Invisibility will help you greatly in Oblivion gates to sneak kill Daedra in the earlier levels. Others are self explanatory. I never did use Mysticism. I always used a hood and it was my detect life

Alchemy is brokenly overpowered, especially at higher levels. You can probably beat the game with Alchemy, Sneak, and Illusion alone if you use a bit of levelholding, or just make them all minors and powerlevel them (really boring tho).

I would use Alchemy, Illusion, Sneak, Blade, Light Armor, and 2 spells of your choice. Consider a mod that changes levelup modifiers, to save yourself some trouble.

You can always leave Alchemy as a minor if you want, but making it Major saves you time IMO.

OK, I'll take one of my chars:

Wood Elf
Sneak
Marksman
Blade
Alchemy
Mercantile
Security
Light Armor

I play in OOO, and it's pretty succesful.

One problem I found is that Blade lags behind after a few levels, so make sure you balance it with marksman.
