Ok, I am in need of some advice please. Basically I have trawled this forum and even googled it (as you do) about the new 1.9 patch and the new DX11 tessellation pack I think.
As far as I am aware, in order for me to benefit from the DX11 pack, obviously I would need a DX11 compatible graphics card. My current card is a Leadtek Winfast 8800GTX. Now, this I believe is DX10 compatible but has no DX11 features so am I right in saying then that this pack would be of no use to me?
That was question 1 by the way

Question 2 is more to do with the 1.9 version patch. Currently I am running Windows XP but I am going to be upgrading to Windows 7 Home Premium edition in the very near future.
My stats are as follows if it helps:
Win XP Media Centre Edition
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.67 GHz
320GB Hdd
4GB RAM (only 3.25 as in 32 bit environment - XP remember)
Leadtek Winfast 8800GTX
All are stock with no overclocking or mods etc.
You can see then (especially compared to some monster setups on here) that I have a pretty sub standard rig. Now, I do not wish to go out and buy a new graphics card nor a new CPU as it does for me personally, what I want it to do. I don't do intensive video editing or anything of that sort and I'm sorry if this offends but I don't buy the best of the best to say my rig is better than yours lark.
So, will I benefit much from moving to Windows 7 and will I just need the 1.9 patch? I realise that if I want to enjoy Crysis 2 to its full potential then yes, I imagine I would have no choice but to upgrade. Please advise me.
Thanks all
