Music in Elder Scrolls games

I like to hear everyone`s views about the music in the Elder Scrolls-games.

Free downloads(creative commons) can be found here:

Unfortunately I can`t find any Redguard-music from a legal site. Maybe anyone else knows something.

Music from Morrowind and Oblivion must be bought and I`m sure you can find it by yourself, if you dont already have the games. The music can be found in folders where you installed the game.

I have always liked Jeremy Soule`s music, but there`s lots of great game-music composers out there.
What is your favorite gamemusic composer?

I haven't heard the music from Skyrim so I can't vote. But Jeremy Soule is my favorite game music composer and his theme for Morrowind is unparallelled, in my opinion.

Elliot Goldenthal (Alien 3) would be interesting to see if he'd incorporate synths and layer moods and tones.
Vasiliy Kashnikov (The Void) I'd love to see what he would come up with.
Jason Graves (Dead Space) The scores that he made for the Dead Space series just drip atmosphere.

Those three off the top of my head. Just something to be more varied and different, wildly different instruments from a variety of cultures, some synths etc than the same ye olde drone that's been in place across Morrowind/Oblivion/Skyrim.

I remember using the Chinatown and crypt ambient themes from Vampire Bloodlines in Morrowind and they just fit so creepily well. They amplified the environment and the mood so much making the game feel hostile and unnerving. The music from Risen went quite well into Oblivion giving a more coastal/jungle feel like Cyrodil was initially described as, rather than the Middle Earth knock off that we got.

Not sure I can consider Morrowind or Oblivion's music to have topped the music Eric Heberling did for Daggerfall. Sure it's all MIDI, but http://dangoodale.wordpress.com/downloads/daggerfall-remixes/... well... http://www.divshare.com/download/10187061-164. The array of moods and themes given in Daggerfall's soundtrack (triggered at the appropriate times and places, too) is unmatched by any TES game since.

Daggerfall practically has about as many tracks for dungeons alone than Oblivion had in total. It has more than twice the number of tracks than Oblivion and Morrowind combined (not counting the dups for FM and GM). They're much more diverse than Morrowind's and Oblivion's all-ambiance tracks, and they don't get boring to listen to. Only thing they really "miss" is battle music (there is none), which may even be a blessing to some people as you don't get combat alerts from the music.
