Looking for mods, for German Oblivion

Post » Tue Aug 30, 2011 12:20 pm

I am looking for mods. I am browsing tesnexus and PES more than I'm actually playing the game, and I still only have 3 mods installed. o.O

So I hope you can help me.
a.) I'm looking for mod that adds Morrowind style fast travel system (silt striders, boats, mage guides etc.) to oblivion
b.) A mark/recall mod. (So I don't waste skill ups and can transport loot faster)

I think this mod:
Cyrodiil Transportation Network
makes something similar but I'm not sure if it works with a German oblivion or not.

c.) A mod that removes creature and npc bodies/cadavers once they have been looted from all their belongings (or alternatively there is a button to make them disappear).

d.) an ui changing mod, to make everything a little bit smaller and transparent (easier to browse through)

e.) a night sky changing mod, like the Morrowind mod Real Stars/Real Sky

f.) a "nice" loading screen replacer, there are so many I don't know which to try out first.

g.) a mod to remove the bethesda movie from the beginning, when I start the game (or can I tweak this in the .ini ?)

h.) a mod to remove the message that appears after I click on the continue button on the main menu page (would you really like to continue playing from the last save game?)

i.) a modders resource wooden manequins

Thanks in advance.

All mods will work with the german version, they'll just be in English.

Which ren's mod? And that would most likely be you installing it incorrectly. You can install German mods on an English game and English mods on a German game.

I installed it manually, like all the morrowind mods, and it disabled the npc sounds.

Any mod affecting races (like Ren's mod does) needs to be translated, otherwise all NPCs will be mute.

Race mods are the big exception when it comes to language compatibility, because the race name is part of the voice files' folder paths. So what looks like sounds\voices\imperial\m in the English version looks like sounds\voices\kaiserlicher\m in the German version. Now a race affecting mod would change the race name, therefore causing the game to look for files in a folder that does not exist in its language.

Everything else however will work. Just race affecting mods are problematic.

Thank you. :) (Although I already knew why Ren's mod made bugs, now I know that other type of mods won't)

I'm still looking for mods though. :-/

For UI there's DarnUI.

for getting rid of the opening video you just have to delete the movie files.

Less annoying magic experience has a remove corpse spell, and midas magic has spells where you can turn them into gold coins, zombies, or use them to raise your health/magicka by 1. Or.... you could just select them with the console and use disable.

not sure about the rest

Why not ask in on of the largest (active) german modding forums? http://www.scharesoft.de/joomla/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=30

Thank you people for the replies. I am experimenting with darnUI and it looks great, and I already forgot about the German forums. :goodjob:
Thanks
