-Player 1 stopped in Riverwood to talk to a guy named "Sven." He was a Nord. Sven said, "You should come hear me play at the Sleeping Giant Inn.
The dialogue options were as follows:
"I saw a dragon in Halgun (sp?)"
"You and Faendal both like the same girl?"
"Is there somewhere I can buy fresh supplies?"
the player picked the dragon option, to which Sven responded, "Truly? So maybe my mother wasn't (something)... You had best tell (someone) in Whiterun... (something)" I couldn't see all of the text.
The animation of Sven was very impressive, as halfway through the conversation he moved his hands to his hips and kind of rocked back and forth on his feet and took a step or two to stay loose. Absolutely beautiful animation and super realistic. No part of Sven's body was ever truly still, though he was still focused on the conversation.
-The player then picked the option about the girl, to which Sven replied, "(name) knows I'm the best man in Riverwood (something along the lines of (other guy) won't leave her alone though)."
player response options were, "He sounds persistant, maybe you should do something about it." and "Yes, two people spending time together never blossoms into courtship..."
Sven then gave the player a note to give to the girl - a fake one from Faendal. This is obviously one of the quests we have heard about in the recaps of the demos.
Then at the top of the screen it said, "Give Sven's letter to Camilla." and on the next line it said, "(option) Tell Faendal about Sven's letter" (implying two alternate options to move the quest forward)
-The dog animations are also excellent. A dog was in the background sitting there panting with his tongue out and looking around. When a little kid took off running, the dog followed him around
On another screen, a player was in a dungeon playing as an Argonian. The hands of the Argonian were absolutely beautiful looking. He went over to a chest with some realistic looking mushrooms around it and some nice lighting. He opened the chest to reveal:
-Gold
-A petty soul gem, which looked like a generic pink crystal, nothing fancy or exciting
-Potion of minor healing, which was red (in accordance with health) as opposed to the generic purple bottle for potions and green for poisons.
-Potion of minor stamina, which was green (for stamina). We can only assume the magicka potions will be blue.
-Robes of minor alteration
Then he fought his way through two skeletons and an apprentice necromancer, all of which were pretty generic and didn't do anything special, but still looked good.
I caught some glimpses of his Argonian's arms when he was fighting, and man, let me say that if you are planning on playing an Argonian, they look damn good. The scales and spots on his arms were very detailed.
Then the guy died.
Third screen
The location in the top right corner of the screen told me the guy was in "South Brittleshin Pass."
He activated the map and I saw that he was located to the west of the mountains that contain Bleak Falls Barrow.
Ironically, in this map view, the city of Solitude was also visible. On the entire other side of Skyrim. In the same view window. See my other topic “Just saw something concerning about the game” for more details on that.
There was a button in the map screen window for “local map.” Wonder what the local map looks like? Any way it’s a paper-map type option?
The guy tried to fast travel to Riverwood, but it said, “You have not discovered this location yet, plant marker?” Which he selected yes, and it put a little blue symbol by Riverwood that said, “Custom Destination”
Then he went down by the water on the big lake and the water was absolutely incredible! Very realistic, clear and blue-ish, with little waves lapping around and splashing up on the shore.
It’s amazing how the water looks so great, but the roaring waterfalls in the game look so terrible.
He messed around for a fire spell for a little while and set a patch of grass on fire, which burned for some time.
A wolf attacked him and he used his fire spell to torch the wolf, and meanwhile it scorched the ground around it black.
He then set some sort of other animal on fire, actually it looked like another wolf of a different color. As he shot the fire at it, it caught small patches of grass on fire around the animal, which burned for a few seconds and then went out.
But the real winner in this video was the absolutely beautiful lake with the amazing water effects. It just looked so serene and untouched. I was seriously wanting to just go down to the water’s edge and drink in some of that clear mountain water and go for a little swim. I can’t wait to camp out next to a lake and listen to the sounds of nature at night.
