I get the game pausing for about 1 second every 30 seconds while I'm out wandering the wastelands. I notice it most whilst I'm changing direction and it suddenly freezes and then continues again. It's pretty damn annoying and spoils the immersion. Every time it happens I wonder whether it's gonna stay frozen or just carry on as it does normally.

Is this a common issue? Do the developers know about it? Is it going to get fixed?

happens to me a whole lot. also frequent freezes that cause me to have to "hard reset" my console. grrr

Consider yourself luck for getting to play the game. Most people on the forum are experience the game completely locking up.

I have both of these problems as well, happened with fallout 3 also, but not with any other games I play, very annoying.

Same thing happens but only when outside, interiors seem fine.

Hope they fix it, it's damm distracting!

Yep me too. I can't see how this game ever got released like this? How did it get such good reviews?

It's completely unplayable as it is, every time it pauses/lags I think it's frozen (which it has done several times).

That doesn't sound like the issues I'm having. The game is completely playable but it's annoying that there are small pauses all the time. If the pauses start to get longer or the game locks up then that's a different thing all together.

My guess is, that the pauses are the loading between areas. I'm wondering if that's the cause of the freezing because when it last froze on me it was doing the same thing.

stay away from the rocks! that's where it locks up on me.
