how old do argonians become ?

Argonians from a quick thread search are 'unknown', however if you do a bit of digging you might be able to find some more information in the 'Lore' section of the forums. Age length is a common question on there, I'll continue to look if I find anything I'll edit this post with it.

EDIT: According to one post Argonians live from 70 to about 100 depending on the tribe and proximity to the Hist.

Some Argonians only live to their 40's while others can live into their 70-80's depending on certain factors.

ok, I finished my character sheets:

Spoiler
Name: Whananz-Dzuun, to those who can't pronounce it, they can say Snow-Scale
Race: Argonian, Agacephs
Age: 27
Birthsign: the lady

General Appearance: he is of average height; standing at 5ft9 and has a strong but lean built. His scales are a very light grey color on the darker places like his back, shoulders, … and the lighter places have a snow white color. He has spikes all over his head. They are pointed backwards, slightly curved and some are chipped off. He has a small face with a sharp long snout. And very sharp and strong teeth and claws. His eyes have a yellow eyes and the pupil is more like that of a cat. he misses several scales, through punish, which are replaced by artificial scales of metal, wood, gold and other materials.

Weapons/armor: he carries a long sword made out of hardened Hist sap. It is harder than most steel and has a yellow, golden appearance. It's a long straight, double-edged blade, and is as wide as a hand. His cuirass and arm protectors are also made out of hardened Hist sap and is durable, but light. He carries leather pants under his cuirass that are fortified with hardened Hist sap.

Skills: Through training and the need to use weapons he has mastered the many varying bladed weapons and marksmanship. He also knows the very basics of other weapons, but it goes as far as: "swing toward the opponents head and hope you bash it in." he has a good knowledge of alchemy. During his training to become his clan's next Scalefletch he learned to move around unseen and repair most weapons and craft good arrows and bows.

Background: He was born in a small clan that lived at the border between Black Marsh and Morrowind. His clan was part of a larger population of Agacephs, who normally live in the inner parts of Argonia. At a very young age, he showed great skill with bladed weapons and the bow and was trained in the use of these weapons by the Clan's Scalefletch, the protector and leader of a clan, to eventually take over his position. When he reached the age of fourteen he was captured by Dunmer slavers while he was away from his clan as a test of survival in the wilds. They took him to a plantation of the House Dress.

There he started working as a slave under harsh conditions and under constant supervision. After he reached the age of twenty he started to rebel against the guards of the plantation. Destroying property of the owners of the plantations, killing a guard and running away several times without much luck. By doing this he managed to win the hearts of his fellow slaves for him and soon he could make them do what he wanted. He fell in love at the age of twenty-five with the Argonian woman called Kal-Ma.

Together they took their chance and ran away as far as possible. They managed to stay before the Dunmer guards for a full week, even crossing the Black Marsh border before the guards caught up on them. In the battle that followed Kal-Ma got killed by an arrow. He managed to break out and run away from them again leaving behind the body of his loved one and he got caught by a group of argonians who hid him from the searching guards. They told him they were planning a war against the Dunmer to free the slaves and get retribution for the damage done.

He revealed himself to the guards and after a serious beating knocking him out of consciousness, he was taken back to the plantation he worked on. Although the Slaves were sad for his loss and because he couldn't get away, they were also happy to see him since the thought of rebellion had already grown in there minds. He formed the plans and after explaining everything they started.

They collected all kinds of tools they used on the field to work and turned them into useful tools to kill. They made simple spears from wood they collected and hid everything wherever they could. He drew maps of the layout of the plantation and surrounding buildings with the information given to him from the other slaves who worked inside the houses and outside. With that information he finalized his plans.

During the night when everyone was supposed to be asleep he got rid of the guards keeping an eye on the sleeping slaves. They used there improvised bows and arrows to shoot down the few remaining guards surrounding their building. Silent as the night the slaves collected their weapons and ambushed the unsuspecting guards. They set fire to the crops and buildings killing every Dunmer on sight. In a short, but cruel night they had conquered the plantation.

Help arrived from Argonia and soon the word of their freedom spread across the province of Morrowind lighting hope in the hearts of all the slaves. Whananz-Dzuun coordinated the rest of the rebellion and started a guerilla war against Morrowind, conquering halve of Morrowind. There they stopped and shoved the borders of Black Marsh towards the north.

He was chosen as the leader of the Argonian army and was send, two years later, as their diplomat to the Imperial City. There they would hold a council to prevend a war across whole Tamriel.

Mental Description: Whananz-Dzuun is a battle hardened warrior. Hardened during his years as a slave and his years battling the Dunmer. He has learned through battle that without ruthlessness he'll get no were. He can be described as decisive, intelligent, quick of mind and ruthless. A part from that, he is also kind towards his friends and tolerant, although it is far to find when dealing with Dunmer. Another great virtue of him, is his patience in waiting for a clear shot, which is legendary. he can stand unmoving for hours, in the perfect spot, waiting for the target to move into the perfect place and for the wind to pause, before releasing his arrow. Sadly this patience is limited to combat and is usually far away when busy with diplomatic maters and meetings. He has a deep hatred towards the Dunmer, which has grown during his years of slavery and he is willing to commit genocide if that is the only way to keep his people safe from the Dunmer slavers. He believes that as long as there are Dunmer, the Argonians will be used as slaves by them.

Spoiler
Name: Hur-Ei
Race: Argonian, An-Xileel.
Age: 59
Birthsign: The Apprentice

General Appearance: He is a small argonian, standing at around 5ft3. he has a lean build, not made for fighting. He has deep purple scales, with scale of a lighter purple, while still being dark, on the lighter places of his body. He has spikes on his head, which are connected through a series of chains and ropes. Around his spikes are small rings made from many materials, like rubies, topaz, hist sap, … . He has deep green eyes, surrounded by a fiery ring of gold. His face is small and he has a long sharp snout. He keeps his teeth and claws sharp. He is old, and although his age is not seen on his face, he walks around bended over with a crooked bag, leaning on his staff.

Weapons: he carries a silver dagger for ritual purposes since he is to old to actually fight with it. he also uses a staff to channel his magicka more easily and to lean on it when walking. The Staff is made out of the wood of a Hist tree and is decorated with rings made of Hist-sap. The point is bended in the form of half a circle. Several ropes are bound on the bended part, and on those ropes hang different kind of items in all different forms.

armor: He wears no Armor, instead he dresses in robes usually of a green, brown or grey color. With he robes comes a hood of the same color that he can use to cover his whole face. He wears soft leather boots. He carries several rings around his finger and a golden amulet with a deep green stone in it around his neck.

Skills: because of his lessons in magic he knows how to use all schools. although he lacks the power of an altmer mage, he makes up for that with subtlety, fast thinking and great knowledge about the schools, and magic in general.

Background: from a very young age, he showed great talent in the use of magic and his parents started his magickal lessons at a very young age to further develop his skills. He gained the name Dry-Tongue during his naming day because of the very large amount of Hist-sap he had drunk. He was taken in by the An-Xileel and trained to become a high priest of Sithis and the Hist. While the others of the An-Xileel were more interested in the political part, he showed more interest in the actual magic lessons he got when he was young and politics passed him. His interest in politics only grew at a later age.

His training was completed the day the Hist talked to him for the first time. From that day on he performed rituals for the Argonian population. He defended the area he got control over against slaver attacks and against attempts to cut down Hist trees by the Dunmer. He was rewarded with the title of High Priest for his service to the Argonians and Hist.

He was one of the argonians to hide Whananz-Dzuun when he was running from Dress guards. He told him about the war that they were planning to free the slaves and then made him go back to his slavers. After Whananz-Dzuun freed the first slaves, Hur-Ei took the Dress plantation he had freed as their base of operations. He befriended Whananz-Dzuun during the war and advised him on many actions. Now they joined again to participate in the meetings to decide the fate of Tamriel.

Mental Description: he is patient Argonian able to just stand still for hours while waiting for something to happen. He generally does not try to speed things up even if it goes so slow that they might still be sitting there when changing of the year has past. His body is old but his age does not stretch out to his mind and spirit. They are still young, and quick. He does not like the Dunmer for what they have done to his people, but he also understands that they were not the only one. His hatred for the other races is based on a different reason. Once Tamriel was covered by the hist. The war between the Ehlnofey, from who the other races originate. Although towards the Khajiit, this hatred slowly faded since they shared the same fate of slavery by mostly the Dunmer.

Crowns are descended from the High King and the Na-Totambu who ruled in Yokuda. The Crowns hold Yokudan tradition in high reverence and greatly dislike the Empire's control over Hammerfell. The Forebears are descended from the Ra Gada warrior class which conquered the province. The Forebears are more cosmopolitan than their Crown counterparts and are more welcoming to the Empire and its cultural traditions.

So this is what happened:
Back in Youkuda, a rebel group of Ansei (a group of expert sword wielders who were capable of astonishing feats of swordsmanship) ended up performing an astonishing feat which was basically the TES equivalent of a nuke, sinking a lot of Yokuda. After their homeland sank, the Yokudan fleet of Ra Gada (Forebears) set sail east to Tamriel. At the time, Hammerfell was largely populated by Orcs, Goblins and Ogres (the Orcs were the same as the goblins back then, little more than savage beasts).

The Yokudans, desperate to survive as a people, launched the so-called Warrior Wave, made up of the Ra Gada, a caste whose descendants are now known as Forebears. They attacked the towns and cities of Nede, Mer, and Orsimer, leaving no survivors and building on top of the ruins. After only a few brutal months, the Ra Gada had established a strong presence along the western shores of Hammerfell. From this foothold they continued to launch assault after assault, eventually succeeding in driving off the Orsimer and making way for the High King and the Yokudan royalty, known as Na-Totambu, to safely arrive in Hammerfell.

Recently, a third faction has gained prominence. Known as the Lhotunics after their founder, King Lhotun. In this RP, the combined forces of the Crowns and the Forebears managed to greatly diminish the Lhotunic's influence.

No, a few people made Dunmer that were like 5'7" (Which to me is a little short for an mer, well at least to me it is. Of course I'm 5'11") I said 5'11" to 6'3" is average height for Dunmer.

Would it be ok with everyone if I took a very minor role in another faction? I'm thinking the (now disgraced and demoted) former Hortator of House Dres; she'd be of the handful of surviving Dres, a minor commander and come in from the second day of the negotiations, remaining in use for the rest of the RP/until her death.

Sure go ahead, and feel free to create a back story between her an Thaden if you want. After all he did kind of take her position. :P

Basically shortened version of how Thaden took down the Imperial installed government in Morrowind and restored the nation of Resdayn:

He never really liked the way Helseth did things but due to his will to serve his country and his wish to restore Morrowind to its former glory he complied. He came from an "Old-school" Redoran family who valued a lot of the traditions that had begun to vanish in favor of more imperialistic lifestyles. Therefore he has always believed in the old ways and traditions of Dunmeri culture. So when Morrowind seceded from the Empire Thaden saw his chance to throw down the government that the Imperials used to control Morrowind. With the help of some more of the traditional Royal Guards who were loyal to King Llethlan and disliked Helseth, as well as some of Mournhold's Ordinators (Namely Senes Varvun the Ordinator Commander) he launched a coup d'etat and seized control of the Royal Palace. He confronted Helseth and denounced he claim to the throne, commanding him to surrender. Helseth deceived Thaden and faked his surrender. When Thaden went to bind his hands Helseth drew a dagger and slashed the side of Thaden's face (the reason for his scar). Thaden then drew his sword and killed Helseth in a rather short battle. Barenziah was upset for quite some time but after Thaden began constructing a new government and offered her a position equal to that of a High Chancellor, she began to see his true wishes for Morrowind and complied.

After the new government was set up and the nation of Resdayn formed Thaden was offered the position of Hortator for his valiant efforts to purge the nation of their "Imperial shackles" and restore the old ways. However the victory was short lived as the ministry of truth crashed into Vvardenfell and then the Argonians began to invade. Blah blah blah you know the rest :P

The Dunmer are getting popular :P my argonians are not gonna feel comfortable :P

Those scaly bastards shouldn't feel ok! They better be scared....verrrrrry scared. Because they have a major ass whoopin' headed their way :P

The Argonians can feel all the more hissy and vengeful considering this is the same person in question who was organising and leading larger-scale raids against border tribes for years before the Ministry fell. Awkward!

As for any shared history between them, I was considering suggesting that only some councillors of House Dres agreed to Thaden as a Hortator of all Morrowind (since I imagine they'd be the House least interested in any overarching Hortators that didn't come from their own, what with being at war to some extent all the time and thus probably having their own Hortator much of the time as well). However after the whole malarkey with the Argonian invasion and what not, with most of Dres dead what remained of the councillors wouldn't have been very eager to trust her with extensive responsibility, and even if one or two were willing she was still far too controversial a figure to be supported (what with most Dunmer blaming her for failing to stop the invasion). So Thaden ended up stealing her job and she wasn't particularly thrilled. Double awkward!
