Best race for beginners

Post » Thu Sep 01, 2011 9:40 pm

Do we even know the diffrences between the races yet? Y'know besides appearance. Like, do we know their stats (health, magicka and stamina)? Or their skills and traits? Cause I don't remember hearing about it.

Different races have a small skill bonus, which I assume is going to be similar to the past games.

Dunmer: Most balanced
Khajiit: Acrobatic
Breton: Mage
Imperial: For personality
Altmer: Best for mage
Bosmer: Good for acrobats and being a thief
Argonian: Good for acrobats and being a thief
Orc: Best for fighting
Nord: Also good at fighting

Okay, this is starting to confuse me...
Is there a reason that everybody forgets Redguards?

Sack races are pretty easy and casual.

Besides Dunmer, I'd add Redguard. Good resistances and strong melee, Adrenaline Rush power super useful early on.

screw stats, its the elder scrolls. You be who-ever you want to be, do what-ever you want to do
Pick a race you like. Stats are just that little extra thing your race has....imo people who pick a race because of stats are not playing the game right but thats just me

just pick whatever you want. It doesn't really matter what race you pick. As long as you like it. No one can tell you which one is better because it's all about personal preference.

high levels breton are best but they start out with very low health making them hard for some one never played rpg like elderscrolls

if you are new choose stealth and social race first this will help gain knoledge of how game work and earn you more rich's easily( imperial , bosmer , argonian or khajiit ) the gold will aid in experimentation for you planing you next and perfect character suited to your preference

In Oblivion the best race for beginners was Breton to their absurdly powerful racial abilities. For Skyrim though we know racials have been given a massive overhaul so nobody can really say.

As said though a good beginner race would be Dunmer/Dark Elf due to their jack of all trades skill bonuses.
