I've been playing Fallout New Vegas since the day it was released, and only really had one show-stopping bug (console froze and had to manually shut down). Overall I think it's a great game, one of those few times that the overall experience and fun factor can outweigh the drawbacks. I completely understand that when you release a game with the sheer size and complexity of a gameworld such New Vegas you will undoubtedly have growing pains largely due to the fact that instead of a few dozen people playing and testing it pre-launch, you now have hundreds of thousands of people playing it.

I even understand that it takes time to test and release a patch, after all you don't want something you fixed to break something that was working perfectly fine before. What I don't understand is basically the blackout of any kind of ETA for the patch release. The game is playable for me, and I will continue to enjoy it.. however it's been almost a week and any info regarding a patch would be nice.

The only patch (that i know of) that has been released is the one for the European version, it had something to do with language fixes, i don't think it fixed anything as far as game play goes. to be honest with you though, i don't think they'll ever get around fixing the freezes. They failed at Fallout 3 GOTY, and i think they'll fail now... i hope I'm wrong. kinda lets us know what to expect from bethesta, and obsidian in the future...
