The Strip suddenly requires a key which I do not posess, BUG : Fallout: New Vegas

I've been playing for 35+ hours, and now all of the sudden The Strip requires a key which I do not posess. What gives?

Version 1.01.

I can now confirm this is a nasty bug, but I've found a way around it. I had to stealth kill (to avoid hostility from all Mr. House robots) one of my own robots to get the key off his remains. Crazy as it sounded, it actually worked.

Yes I can also confirm this works because it is what I had to do.

Wait until you try to enter the strip and the whole game freezes and the screen goes blank.. That is the fun bug I am now dealing with!
