TESPCD auto delete unclean

Post » Mon Sep 05, 2011 7:12 am

Hi there. I just got TESPCD and I was wondering if the auto clean feature is relatively safe like it claims in the readme.

TESPCD may also report Unclean entries in the Warning Grid. These are safe to delete and will minimize conflicts with other plugins. The AutoClean Feature simply automatically deletes all the Unclean Entries that you could delete manually.

When i got testool, I tried its clean function only to find out that it functions like an autoclave, sterilizing both good and bad "microorganisms". Since then, i got afraid of mod tools that makes plugins "clean".

So is it safe just to blast the auto delete unclean function away like a trigger happy buffoon? Or should i take note of things before using it?

I seem to remember someone saying that TESPCD's cleaning could blitz some dialogue entries that're needed.

When using TESTool I enter the Options screen and make sure that "Restricted dialogue cleaning" is enabled.

If you're up to using a command line tool then http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/934107-relz-tes3cmd-a-small-tool-for-modifying-tes3-plugins is really rather cool. There's a download that doesn't need Perl to be installed.
