Fallout 4 Needs more guns!

Post » Mon Sep 05, 2011 7:38 pm

I like alot of weapons in Fallout 3 and New Vegas, but I'm noticing personally a lack of guns. More modern and just more guns. Like an M16A4 Carbine( Made Up) , .50 Cal Desert Eagle, Uzi, Dual Wield Mini Uzis, .44 Magnum, Colt Python (Black & Brown 6 inch 15 cm), Baretta M9, MP5K, G3, MP5, CAR 15 (bigger size), AK-47 (I know the Chinese Rifle is basically it, but they scrapped that, so either bring back the chinese rifle or AK-47). I know I'm gonna get hammered but, I just want this in the developers minds.

I'm the opposite.

There were a ton of guns in New Vegas, more than enough, and more are coming via DLC -- and I'd actually like fewer in numbers and more focused set. Where the weapons make a bigger and clearer difference between eachother.

How about they focus on creating models, sounds, animations and textures for mutants and animals instead of more weapons? (Then maybe we could have more variety with animals and stuff. Especially super mutants...)

Quite. New Vegas had a more than acceptable amount of guns. More than most games. However, with resources and time, I don't doubt their ability to both add more guns and do stuff like what Gabe suggested. So basically, only add more if it isn't taking away resources from something of substance.

I would like to see more guns, and duel wielding will probably be put in since it's in Skyrim so they have the option.

Dual Wielding guns is different than swords, or whatever else.

I would like to see more guns, but not too many. Maybe 10-20 more, or a new gun (one) in each category, like pistol, rifle, shotgun, etc.

Admittedly I'm not a gun person.

But in adding more guns - I've got to ask why? What new experience is another half a dozen weapons that are basically the same as another going to bring?

New style of gun that does something new - sure, but another pistol who's only real point of difference is that its silver instead of black and has an extra bullet - no.

I think that if they revisit the east coast, or somewhere like Texas, we will being saying good-bye to a lot of guns, Anti-Mat Rifle, Assault Carbine, Marksman Carbine, and so on. They are made by the gun runners, so why would they be out east.

I think we should expect to see the Fallout 3 weapon choice, with a little New Vegas, mixed in with some new material.

Thinking to small, 100 to 200 new weapons would be good. Theres a lot of weapons out there and they aren't all the same. And if you can duel wield swords then duel wielding pistols or smg's isn't something you can't to do.

The Gun Runners make weapons based off of prewar weapon design plans.

Well, that would take some time...

Also on dual wielding, reloading is the big issue, and even though video game reloading is never spot on, some people will complain saying: "NO magical COD weapon flipping reloading!"

With reloading it would be a pop out mag, reach down, insert mag, pull charge handles or slide.

But if the guns are so widely availible, why do they sell them to different factions and why didn't we see them in earlier fallout games? I think the intention is having a lot of those weapons exclusive to the New Vegas area.

For 2 guns at the same time? It would be impractical to stop what you were doing then put down one gun reload one, pull out the next and reload it, then pull out the first again. Would you tell your enemy to hold on so you can have a few seconds to reload your weapon.

Because they didn't have them in those games. If that was the case then why is there a pre-war marksman rifle?
Yiu can reload a gun with one hand, it takes longer and is hard to do but it's a game so it doesn't matter.

Because only the schematics existed, and variants deep withing Vault 34.

That would be awesome to see, I could only see it happening if the magazines are on your person and you slide them into the gun.

Well with the guns I think their should be more unique weapons and weapon mods, aswell I would like to see someting like a tranq rife and pistol, for bonus 'non-kill' XP and be able to make the ammo with darts and some poison (like the dart gun, Fallout 3) with a special trophy/accomplishment to go with it and maybe improvisation repairs like duct tape the barrel to the gun casing, aswell I would like to see more melee weapons and some special moves like for a sneak attack from behind maybe a slit neck or something. And maybe being able to play the game after the main story missions/quests are complete

You can come across weapons that could only have come from before the war, the majority of weapons in new vegas could be found in other areas if they wanted.

We have plenty of guns, add the ones from FO3 and were good to go.

Maybe add in a few more mods and ammo types(GRA might help this)

All I want more of is decisions to make in quests, characters, dialogue, better animations, sounds, etc, etc, etc.

But they need more pacifist arnament: Rocksalt shotgun rounds, tazers, more KO weaponry.

I'd say before adding more guns we bring back the classics. I'd rather have some of the old guns from the originals than anything new at the moment.

I'd also suggest not adding in that many modern weapons. Weapons that were around before the mid 60's would be fine but nothing more recent than that. Bringing COD to Fallout is a no-no. :nono:

On the topic of dual-wielding: NO!

Nah mumatil, not nearly enough options. There is to few weapons mods in New Vegas as well, and no real options in them either. You just put them ok, no real choice in what to put on.
