Hey all, so I found a sniper rifle and tried to get boone to use it instead of his scoped hunting rifle but he wont! I even took all other weapons out of his inventory but he still wouldnt equip it..Whats the problem?

His Rifle is Better. Companions will use the best weapon in there inventory.

Make sure you give him .308 rounds too... No reason Boone wouldn't use a sniper rifle. Uses 1 when I use him.

@Unsent- He already has .308, Boone's 'magic ammo' is .308 as well.

'Magic Ammo' doesn't count as that type of ammunition, its just counts as unique ammunition for that character's unique firearm and only that firearm.

That's what I thought.

I can't get any of them to use any weapon I give out. Fortuanatly there's a mod to fix this.
