What's the Abbreviation?

A site that provides photo references for 2D or 3D art (NSFW - Mild Artistic Nudity): http://www.3d.sk/

the SK part of that is the extension for the country of Slovakia.

I prefer TES5 myself.

SR would make the most sense though (for 2 letter choices), if MW and OB are any indication.

Ah that's cool. I don't do 3D modelling, but that looks like an excellent resource for it. Would be good for re-texturing too I guess, but you'd have to buy those and I'm not *THAT* into modding for TES. :P I'm also not that good at it. Usually I just modify preexisting textures to suit my needs, although I can do some so-so stuff in Photoshop - but it's still modifying existing elements, not coming up with anything from scratch.

You can always learn :)

It's just a matter of finding the right material to teach you :cake:.

http://www.thegnomonworkshop.com/ is one of the best... but expensive :(

I thought Morrowind's abbreviation was "MO", that's what I've always used.

I guess if I had to pick, I'd use SK, since I use OB for OBlivion and MO for MOrrowind. So, SK for SKyrim makes sense for me.

Well one problem is the cost of the software. 3D modelling software is just not cheap.

But the other problem is I don't really consider myself to be a "from-scratch" artist. I don't know if there's better terminology to describe it. Basically, I tend to manipulate preexisting stuff. For example, I'm a photographer and I manipulate my photos in Photoshop before posting them to create a sort of artwork with them, but I couldn't do the same thing from scratch like some people can. I'm in awe of the artistic creativity some people have. I might be able to learn how to do still life objects, as in inanimate objects. I don't draw flowers and people well at all, but I can draw things like furniture and architecture (the latter which I've done since I was a kid; I thought I was going to be an architect when I grew up).

I think I'd be rather intimidated too. I'm always intimidated by new things. I conquered Morrowind modding, but then stayed clear of Oblivion. This time I'm going to dive in right off the bat with my fellow community members like I did in Morrowind; I think it will help learning along with everyone else.

SK I would use. But everything I've ever said on this forum was either directly about Skyrim and no indication was necessary or have nothing to do with Skyrim at all and no indication was necessary.

Morrowind : MW :: Oblivion : OB :: Skyrim : SR

Based on the pattern, the first two syllables of the title have ended up used as the common abbreviation.

Voted: SR (If there must be a two letter abbreviation)

Hey smart guy, Morrowind has 3 syllables, not 2: Mor - ro - wind

By your logic, Morrowind should have been abbreviated MR. Unless you want first and last syllable, in which case Morrowind is MW and Oblivion is OO. Either way, you're wrong.
