Imagine a minor location thread

Hi Folks, Just throught it would be interesting to create a counterpart to the vault experiment ideas threads. The idea is to create a "minor" location, coud be as simple as the drive ins, or as big as Novac/Bitter Springs - just nothing like the Strip where the focus would be on the game.

------

"Grand Exposition" site

Where: within metropolitan ruins
What: As fate would have it, Expo was in town as the bombs fell, but although the staff may be long gone the attractions are still there. See how the people of fallout imagined their world of tomorrow would have looked if the bombs had not fallen. See the Fantastic Inventions that could have been, the transport that could have gotten you anywhere, yesterday; but its not all could-have-been, the security bots of tomorrow are fully operational and still guarding the site.

There is my vault, don't remember number though... but it was where on guy had a reverse suit basically so with my location.

Yellow City

After the vault dwellers left their vault they use their geck to construct a city. The only problem is that they built it around the yellow vault suit after the owner died. Sounds confusing, so here it is. They had a guy wear the reverse suit. He died of a heart attack, they took this as a sign to leave, they built a city around the suit, and called the man who owned it their savior. Now a lot of stuff in the city is yellow and the people are very strange about what you do in their city.

My minor location would be located in a slummy looking part of a city, and there would be "Can't we all just get along" spray painted on a wall with 3 nightsticks laying on top of a skeleton.

I have one:

1- New Persia: A small settlement that was once attacked by six different raider gangs was saved by a wandering group of people who trained their people to fight more skillfully and brutally than any other faction. The only thing that has with-held them from greatness was their small numbers.

Forgot about this one, which I think is a good idea.

West-Tec Testing Facility

When west-tec had some new inventions to test, they were brought to the outskirts of Philadelphia to be proven. It is a two story building with two basemants. The building is also shared with Wattz Electronics.

Top Floor

Filled mostly with executive offices, and a conference room. The loot up here is minimal.

First Floor

Most of this room is filled with smaller offices, half west-tec and half wattz electronics. There are a few small rooms that test smaller things. There is minimal loot on this floor.

Basemant

The weapons testing rooms. There is a large starting room with a lot of security protocols, once you enter security is even tighter. The second room you walk into is an observatory room, with a shooting range right below. When you go to the shooting range you can open some weapon cabinets which have a couple Wattz 1000 Laser Pistols, and Wattz 2000 Laser Rifles. The security again is strong.

Basemant 2nd Floor

This is the secret Power Armor testing room. The security is even tighter in this room with sentry bots every where, and turrets, and all the terminals are very hard locked. When you first come in you see another observatory but much larger, below is a small obstacle course, and next to it an open room. When you go down to the course you see 5 small rooms, 4/5 labeled with a kind of Power Armor name and each with a terminal of data on the armor.. The first room is T-17c Powe Armor. The armor is missing and a terminal explains how it was sent to an unknown location to be scrapped. The second room is T-22b Power Armor. The power armor is there for the taking if you have the right skills. The fourth room is T-45d, the power armor is no where, and the terminal says that it was sent to the Pentagon for storage. The fifth room is T-51b. The terminal says it was shipped out to be used on the front lines. Finally the 5th room is a room with some medical gear and stuff to put power armor on. In here if you have high enough science you can have a machine teach you how to use power armor.

Once done getting some armor you can go into the training room. Here you are given tasks like the OWB stealth armor training, except combat tasks. When you have done 3 levels you get a special power armor perk. The room you are unable to go into is for firing on the suit. You can activate a terminal which lowers a dummy suit of T-45d which is ripped to shreds.

That is all.

"The Bottomless Pit"

A Pre-war attraction, a hole in the ground covered by a canopy claimed to be 'bottomless' when in actual fact the hole is a mere 8ft deep and home to the legendary mole rat. incompitant pre-war American tourists would splash their cash to see this 'bottomless pit' the idea was so ridiculously stupid locals around the area would often come to visit the hole just to make fun of it and the pre-war Americans who visited it, and once the legendary mole rat made itself home a local merchant set up shop and charged people 10 caps per visit and an additional 5 caps if they wanted to feed the mole rat. In fact the merchant got so wealthy from this business idea he decided to take a holiday and ended up drinking himself to death on the strip, local's were clueless to his disapearance and rumours went around that the legendary mole rat escaped from the hole and ate him alive, and hence nobody visited the hole again.
