hey does anyone know if Bethesda are planning on releasing fallout 3 or New Vegas on mac?

No reason to. I play on my i7 iMac and my Sandy Bridge MBP using Boot Camp.

Both are at native res with maximum settings.

I haven't heard how it runs under wineskin or Fusion/Parallels.

As LeadvilleMatt suggested, Boot Camp is your friend.

I havn't used it myself so i'm not sure how it all works, but know a few people who do.. and it's basically used to run a Windows os and it allows them to play pretty much any Windows based game.
