So,as the title says,I'm getting this card as a gift..how does it run oblivion? It is great?or it is just oblivion badly optimized?Because I see that this card(not only this ofc) can run even the witcher 2 at maximum settings

You can't really compare two games, unless they use the same game engine..... that said, yeah, oblivion is very poorly optimized. That card should kick its keester though. VERY powerful card. Should be able to run max settings on everything without trouble. (provided your CPU can keep up.)

Not the speediest, but, it should work pretty good. If nothing else, just turn the music off for a nice performance boost.

Also I've 3gb of ram and I'm thinking of installing a 64bit version of win7 instead of using the 32bit one..

Won't increase performance noticeably. For oblivion, the extra ram, along with the LAA patch, just extends the amount of time you can play before crashing. At least, in my experience.

If your MoBo allows, you can very easily overclock that puppy to >= 3.0GHz (333x9). Makes a noticeable difference for Oblivion...
