Animal Companions

Post » Tue Sep 06, 2011 10:39 pm

I've read that you will only be able to get a dog companion. Okay fine but what about the command animal spells from the previous elder scrolls, to be honest i was more of a kill first and charm later but even i must admit that charming a sabre tooth and watching it defend me against a Dragon would be cool however futile. My Question is will the charm animal spells still be available in Skyrim or will it just be the Wood Elves racial ability. Thanks in advance for the answer and sorry if the question has already been answered.

Its from a Pete Tweet, he was asked:

@DCDeacon Thanks for the new info yesterday great interview! Are there other animals in Skyrim we can have as companions other than dogs?

And replied:

I don't even plan on using an animal companion. It's not my play style.

If the game forces me to use an animal companion, then I may just treat it like a self-moving emergency food supply...

It's command creature, not animal. And yes,it's still available, and it's the special ability for Bosmers. And we have conjuration. Source: Those who played the demo. Hope it helped.
