Well I never heard much about the Jobs that you may do in Skyrim, but Todd did say that you could take on little NPC jobs to earn some extra "dosh" and assist the economy and what not.

My idea was after the whole execution thing and the Dragon and the Blades guy, my character would leave the city and find a small town. Still in disbelief that he is a true Dragonborn, until one day when -suddenly- my character is hunting and then a DRAGON SWOOPS DOWN and then my character goes all Dovahkiin on it and shouts at it until it dies. AND THEN he realizes that he is the true Dragonborn and must save Skyrim from this disaster.

Alchemist or Hunter, I will be doing both of those for sure, Alchemy allows you to hunt better, because you can make poisons, that also means you can Sell potions, hides, and meats as well. :)

Hunter. Although if possible, may character may just retire into the woods and live self sufficiently and avoid the townspeople as much as she can.

Bard?

Yes, I plan to do a bit of a Braveheart and "live in peace" until the MQ hunts me down (hoping it will). I really hope we can "settle" and contribute to a town's economy. If its at all possible I may even decide to take issue with old http://iskyrim.webs.com/photos/Skyrim-Gameplay/alvor%20dialog.JPG for looking at me funny, slay him and take his place as the town blacksmith. Spend my first few levels doing nothing but mining and smithing, perhaps take a wife, until something provokes me to bloody action...

My Nordic Crusader Hrol will practise blacksmithing when he's not out fighting, both to make money and improve his gear.

Alchemist, but it would be nice to have like a "healer" job! Perhaps that is what alchemy, as a job, would be in Skyrim, who knows. After that I would do cooking and fishing.

Alchemist. Enchanting items will be for the benefit of my character alone, a means to become more effective and powerful, and live longer. Alchemy, however, sounds much more like a real occupation.

except... you know, im pretty sure you have to read a word wall to get the first dragon shout word, and you also have to kill a dragon in the first place and absorb its soul in order to use the shout... you cant just start shouting out of nowhere.

unless you plan on doing all that first, then pretend it never happened... i would think mysteriously understanding the dragon language, killing a dragon, and finally svcking the very soul from its corpse, turning it into a burning pile of bones... would make it pretty obvious someone is dragonborn.

Alright.

How about this, he goes and reads the wall where he learns the "initial" Dragon shout however he is in disbelief that he could truly save Tamriel from the Dragon threat and tells that Blade to find someone else and then the swooping and the realization that he has the power to fight the Dragons.

Alchemist for me - I would like my character to settle down, find a job, maybe even get married before th main trouble begin, so that when I need to save the world I will feel like I'm not just doing a favor for the neighbors, but fight for my character to be able to keep the life she build for herself.

I voted for alchemist, thief sounds cool too, but my main hope is to be able to be a "swordmaster" and train travelling students to make an income. You see I just watched the Ip Man movies, and thought "wow I wanna do that in Skyrim" XD
