"A promo for this week’s episode of GT.TV has teased a big announcement from the team at Crytek.

Towards the end of the promo it’s announced that there will be “Crysis news you won’t want to miss”. The episode will air on Thursday night.

What Crytek are currently working on has been a hot topic as of late. Rumors of a PS3 and 360 port of the original game are ripe, as are hopes for expansions to Crysis 2, which released earlier in the year."

Hopefully the BIG ANNOUNCEMENT includes what the crysis 2 community wants... a F***ING patch!!!

Think it might be the port of Crysis, who knows, they might launch it on PC as a revised CE3 expansion, you know with Dx11 palm trees, nice............. Oh ya, but a patch is still good news. But I think Crytek isnt being funded anymore for Crysis 2 .......... anything from here on in is just because we screamed it in they're ear to many times. Crysis 2 1/2 would be nice though, give me a side campaign, new weapons and alot more MP maps and I might be interested........

Couldn't care less about Crysis ported to consoles. What a waste of time that is. A add-on for Crysis 2 would be nice like Warhead was.

Still want to know what happened to Nomad and Psycho, and how prophet got to back to NYC, from lingshan already dressed in the N2. Prequel would be even more nice.

Notice that they have lots updates made on gamesas forum site for this past few weeks, maybe this is to prepare for the crystek announcement for crysis 2. How I wish it would be a patch or an expansion (as this will also include improvements both on graphics and gameplay)

This makes me even more uncomfortable now that you mention it, and with all this silence, watch us get a terrible announcement like "We are handing Crysis 2 over to the Community" Enjoy

Better be something for us PC gamers though and hope it's not all about Crysis ported to consoles.

The only way they'd be a patch is if an expansion was added, and I bet it still wouldn't fix the orbital lag.

My guess is this is nothing to do with C2 at all, so I wouldn't get your hopes up.

Got the same feeling as well, it might not be related to C2 and it's a high possibility that the announcement would be just recycling the old crysis 1 with the latest cryengine then port it to console

After seeing Cervat's interview I find it hard to believe crytek will crap on the PC players ever again. I really think its going to be something related to WarFace or an expansion/patch for C2 (I hope)

Now that you bring up his interview, it seems he mentions a teaser. A TEASER, that means its a new game, NOT A PATCH. You dont tease a patch.

The surprise is related to Crysis as stated at the end of the clip "“Crysis news you won’t want to miss”". The only question is didn't specify if it is 1 or 2. So either an expansion or port old Crysis 1 game to console.

I can see it being something which gives EA more cash in their pockets. I also doubt it would be a patch. All this silence, just to tell us we'll patch the game? Doubtful.
