Considering there's a fanart topic here on the Skyrim forums, I thought I'd share my Skyrim fanfic blog. And, if some of you guys have Skyrim-related fanfiction posted on either a site like fanfiction.net or a blog, just let us know. I posted my blog on the fanfic/fanart section of the Elder Scrolls forums, but it wasn't getting a whole lot of attention. I also have no replies in the topic either. Now, considering it is strictly Skyrim-related, I thought it would be appropriate to share it here.
I have two pieces of fanfiction I have written. The first one is called, "Journey of an Imperial Ranger." The second is called "Log of Larrius Varo, An Imperial Soldier," but I've only completed and posted one part for the second piece so far.
"Journey of an Imperial Ranger" concerns the adventures of Adamus, the son of a murdered Jarl of Skyrim who has left his second home of Summerset Isles to pursue his father's killers. It is written in letter format, as he is writing to his Altmer lover in Summerset Isles.
"Log of Larrius Varo, An Imperial Soldier" regards the perilous situation of a soldier in the Imperial Legion, as his story soon becomes a fight for survival.. He sets out from his post in Windhelm, along with a company of soldiers, to join a small army to 'punish' an orc tribe responsible for an attack on the Imperial City. This fanfic is being written in journal/letter format.
After the release of Skyrim, probably a couple of months after, I will begin releasing parts of a fanfic called "Adventures of a Nordic Blacksmith." You will read a first hand account of my character, Kalthar Northwode, as he arrives in Skyrim pursuing his father's killers and his sister's kidnappers. But, as you are probably aware, Kalthar will discover he is Dovahkiin and will take his role in the prophecy. Both Kalthar and the other characters' adventures from my current fanfics will intertwine, as the characters in my current fanfics play a major role in 'Adventures of a Nordic Blacksmith.'
Now, anyone who has written fanfiction on either a fanfiction site or on their own blog, let us know by posting your fanfiction title and the link to where it is posted., so our 'Skyrim-related fanfiction' can become known to our fellow Skyrim fans.
My blog where you can find my fanfiction is http://skyrimelderscrollsfanfiction.blogspot.com/. Keep an eye on my blog for more Skyrim-related fanfiction in the months leading up to Skyrim's release AND my major Skyrim fanfic sometime after Skyrim's release. I AM NOT using my blog to make money, so you don't have to be concerned about advertisemants.
There are 3 things I want you to post:
1. The name and/or plot of your fanfic
2. The link to the site or blog where it is posted.
3. What kind of role, if any, that your main character plays in the game.
In other words, use this topic 'to market' your fanfiction, but only if it is related to Skyrim.
Share away people! Thanks!
