Who is your favorite deceased and ancient character?

Post » Sat Sep 10, 2011 8:46 pm

For me it is Randall Clark, The Survivalist. Being a father of 2 I am partial to "daddy" sentimentality and being a former soldier I know what it is like to walk away from your loved ones to do something horrible. I can't get through reading Clark's notes without getting teary eyed, and afterward I get really protective of the sorrows.

It doesn't really work, because there's not many people we know of that died before the Vault Dweller was born.

Easily my favorite character for this, the Brotherhood founder, Roger Maxson. He's near the top for my favorite character anyway.

@TheKeshik there are many people from before the Vault Dweller was born, and we could say that ancient meant anyone from before the 23rd century.

This.
When he made all of those incredible feats right before and right after the Great War not knowing that he'd affect so much of the US over the next two centuries.

1. No there's not. List 20.
2. You don't know their personality.
3. By saying ancient is 80 years ago, then Adolf Hitler is Ancient.

Logic wins this time Serbor.

Those who found themselves at Control Station ENCLAVE in March 2077. The select few lucky bastards who got to be the only Americans untouched by the War. I can only imagine how tense feelings were on that fateful day. One-by-one losing contact with mainland military bases, seeing California burn in the horizon.
Also, Overseer of Vault 87, 92 and pretty much any experiments-gone-horribly-wrong vault.
The one in charge of West-Tek Research Facility (aka The Glow)
FEV Scientists at Mariposa, who were executed by Roger Maxon. Clearly he did not recognize the importance of sacrifice in the progress of science.

2. Many of them are well written and have remarkable personalities. Take Aradesh for example.

3. No that was 66 years ago and I'm talking about on the standards of the wasteland. Time probably seems to drag on with day to day survival and eight years could feel like eighty.

4. My name is Sebor. You are correct that logic has one but it was never on your side.

1. "Who is your favorite deceased character?" Which one of these is deceased during F1? None.

2. Aradesh is alive during F1, invalid.

3. So now it's 280000? Yeah okay. Adolf Hitler was born 1889 so even longer then 70 years ago.

4. Logic wins again, keep trying to claim you have "logic" on your side.

1) I stated that anything before the year 2200 could be considered ancient, you did not argue. You said twenty of them weren't known I gave you the entire list of F1 characters. Many of them would be dead fifty-eight years later.

2) It is valid, you were just not paying attention to what you and I were saying.

3) He did not die until 66 years ago is what I was talking about. Where did you get the thought of his birth? And I believe it was 1887 not 1889 but I am not positive.

4) I do you just skim and do not pay absolute attention to what you and I write.

1. Pay attention. "Dead before ANY PC's were born."

2. "Dead before ANY PC's were born."

3. It's 2281, ancient today is considered 400 AD and before. Ancient can't be considered 81 years ago. Also he died 77 years ago.

4. Again pay attention. Look back at what we've been writing, then read the topic.

1) Nobody EVER said 'Dead before ANY PC's were born' throughout this entire thread.

3) Ancient today is 1400s and before to most people I know, but this is not modern America. In Fallout history was not being recorded or taight like it was today and the people on these forums are not fighting for survival in a post-nuclear wasteland so I doubt any of us knows how dreadful it is. Trust me a month would probably feel like six months.

4) You just keep pulling more and more 'facts' from mid-air. Your main arguement in that last post ('Dead before ANY PC's were born') has never been stated before. You read, comprehend, think out what you're going to say, and then come back and try to win at round two.

1. Go back to the top. It's topic title and description.

2. Ancient is 400 AD and before that. Yes I understand how long it would feel, but some people would still record the date. Pip-boys do it automatically too.

3. Go back to the top. It's topic title and description. What 'facts' have I been puling out of air?

LOL where's your 2? Pay attention. You have the attention span of a gold-fish.

Its not in the title.

It depends on who you ask. My sister thinks anything a day older than her is ancient.

That quote, its not in the OP's first post and its not in the title.

It was just a copy and paste of one so it dodn't deserve a responce.

It's below "Page 1 of 1"

You haven't answered what 'facts' I pulled out of thin air.

Ask a historian.

Whoops, I didn't see the description sorry. Well I'll half to check (later though because its 2:45am) but I'm pretty sure there are a lot of characters from Pre-War who we now about.

My friend's a historian but just on WW2 so that won't help.
