Hi. I was just wondering how you change the type of ammo that you're using with your gun. Sometimes I would like to switch to armor piercing rounds but haven't the slightest clue how. The same thing applies with energy weapons/max charge ammo. Thanks for the help!

Equip the gun you want to use, go to your inventory and go to Ammo and select what you want.

There are two ways:

Pip-boy-items-ammo-scroll down until you see the ammo you would like to switch to, then click on it

Hot-keys: there is a hot key for changing the ammo type, on ps3 it is the top D-pad button

Using Hot Keys for the PC equip the weapon you want to use then hit R to unholster/unsling it. Once you've done this hit the number 2 to change the ammo.

For some weapons (lever actions and .357 revolvers) this can be a little slow so the alternative is to equip the weapon then enter inventory and click on the ammunition you want to use.
