Ok, I got this mage quest in which I was supposed to get this special scroll from Prison of Grictke. The quest giver encourage me not to read the scroll or something really bad would happen. Of course I saved and tried to read the scroll in the dungeon. I saw a flash where something should have come up for me to read but it went away. I researched online and found out that it shoudl have produced a frost antronock or some such. Anyway, I reloaded and went back to the quest giver. When I hit "talk" OR "Get quest", the dialog window would come up. She didn't seem to recognize the quest. I was way early on it and it was still showing in my log. So I figured it was just another buggy quest.

I decided to do a couple of short merchant quests to pass some time. One quest giver (banker) asked me to accompany him to Pythohajer to the Flasten Residence. Upon arrival there, I inquired about the location of the residence and got it. But it was locked. Not wishing to be arrested and knowing it was only 6:15am in the morning, I thought maybe it was just too early. I saw a guy nearby and thought I would reask where the residence was. Almost immediately, a dialog box came up that said I had summoned an antronock but it went away. And the window came up to give me my reward for doing the quest. Huh? I'm in a totally different town in the middle of the street.

That has got to be the weirdest thing to happen to me thus far in Daggerfall.
