running faster?

Does your inventory matter when you're running if you're not over encumbered?I'm at the end of DM and I know where I have to get to but I can't get there in time before I do what you do in DM.

I do believe it does if your close to your maximum weight you move slower. That aside just use the power transformer as cover and sneak your way out. It works perfectly for taking all 37 gold bars so I imagine it will be equally effective when your not overloaded.

Try this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2fFsGNcZc0&feature=related.. I don't think there is an easier way out of the vault, with or without the gold bars.

I'm trying to get TO the vault.I need to know if there is a way to run faster because the beeping is getting faster and I get 1 second from a safe zone and boom. This is the most frustrating part of a game I have ever played.

I advise checking on youtube for a complete walkthrough of the vault. There is probably a speaker you can blow up you haven't noticed. I actually think I know where you are to.

As do I. One of those speakers is in a cleaver, and easy to over look, location.

Also, how much stuff you are carrying only matters if you go over your limit. There is exactly zero difference in movement speed between being 100Wg underweight and .001Wg underweight.

I haven't played in awhile but you do have to turn all those speakers off.. there's no way to get through without doing that. You might be in the same area I was at and thought that I was triggering a speaker further away.. but it turned out there was another one that I just hadn't spotted closer to my position that I needed to get by/turn off/whatever before hand.

Oh.. and no, taking off your armor won't help you move faster. There is that drug Turbo which makes you move faster.. or slows down time or something. You could try that but I believe I tried that too and still could not get through fast enough. It's a tricky hidden speaker thing that's getting you I'm betting.

If you took the travel light perk and you're wearing light armour, then you should already be running faster than normal. Wearing medium or Heavy armour slows you down, but considering basically every armour in DM is already light, I'm guessing you're already running at maximum pace.
