Will ED-E be allowed in the divide?

Post » Tue Sep 13, 2011 2:27 pm

One of the achievements for LR is finding all the upgrades for ED-E in the divide. Yet one of the notes for LR on wiki is that companions will not be allowed. I think it would be disheartening to collect all those upgrades but have to wait to use them.........

We had to come back to the desert after Dead Money to hear Veronica's reaction and pick up her perk, the same will probably happen to ED-E.

As much as I'd like that cheery eyebot to accompany me, I'd say the answer is no.

But I'm glad he can be upgraded.

I wish we could "downgrade" his appearance to give him his bumper stickers and license plate back... =p

Nope, "it is a journey the courier must make alone" or something like that, in other words no companions ever join you into a DLC map.

I don't care since we'll find out in a few days anyway. There are more important things in this world to worry about.

I think so, it'd be stupid to gather his upgrades and not even have him around.

But it would also contradict Lonesome Road... I think Obsidian might've worked themselves into a corner.

You'll have to wait until LR is completed.

You'll have to wait. Remember what your brain (our brain, the brain?) said at the end of OWB? "Only one road remained for the courier, and it was one he had to walk alone."

Maybe ED-E's upgrades are found on defunct Ralphie the Robots?

Yeah, I'm gonna echo what has been said. No. Ed-e will not be allowed in the Divide.

As for Veronica's reaction to Father Elijah and Christine, I got the note but was never able to give it to Veronica. I'm assuming its some sort of bug, but I never got her perk nor ever told her about Elijah or Christine because the option to do so was never presented.

If I recall you had to exhaust all her speech options, or just go over the entire talk about Elijah again or something like that.

I think that (maybe) robotic companions, ED-E and Rex, could be allowed to travel with.

Reason: they cant tell any one were the divide is, ED-E has already traveled so far and could survive the divide, Rex met many important people and he survived the war so he knows the old world.

It could happen, have a robotic companion and maybe a humanoid in the divide? :turtle:
