Think of every well known bosmer (semi important tot something semi important.) They're completely insane arent they? Every-last-one.

They're well-known because they're insane. Nobody remembers ordinary Bosmer.

I have no love for the Elves of the Wood, but I do respect them. More cunning than they look. Still though, no match for MY axe!

They aren't insane, that's too strong of a word. They're quirky and weird. I usually assume that Valenwood is really crazy and so non-Valenwood Bosmer aren't entirely aware of how to deal with normal social situations, so they're just a bit odd most of the time.

For the same reason that mass media has long been full of overused stereotypes - because people are shallow and writers are lazy.

I'm quirky, weird and often insane probably why I like them.
