Is TES V: Skyrim Collector's Edition already sold out?!?

Post » Tue Sep 13, 2011 4:29 pm

Gamestop says this: "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Collector's Edition - Pre-order - STATUS: Backordered"

Backordered?!? Does that mean I will not receive my Collector's Edition of Skyrim? We have about 2 months until it's release and at $149.99, I can't see a rush for this item occuring at this stage.

I can bet I can find it in the stores after 11.11.11 here in Europe without need to preorder. I bought Oblivion's CE much later than the release date and the stock was sufficient :goodjob:

I guess its one of those: You Snooze you Lose, kind of things.

I made sure to pre-order as soon as they announced the CE at QuakeCon.. Took about three days to get into Canada's EB Games's (Game Stop) systems.

Pre-orders are often labeled as back-ordered on some sites. Once its time to ship it shouldn't say that.

Then why would Gamestop [a GLOBAL company] shake the fears of collector's everywhere by placing "Backordered" as the status for a recently made pre-order? There has to be plenty of copies of the TES V:Skyrim CE to go around at this exact point in time!!!!!

Back Ordered - This product is currently not in stock, however your order and payment will be processed when we receive more product. Thats why they don't physically have a copy cause its not out yet that is straight from their webpage.

I wouldn't get to worried about it, you will be able to find them in stores after release for way less most like. I am not buying the CE (Bought OB and FO3 CE's) because it is wayyy overprice considering what you get. And besides, I only really wanted the map which you get if you pre-order the standard edition on amazon.

Also it may mean they just need to have contact Bethesda to order more copies of it, with two months left they will make sure they get sent enough. I freaked out over this on another game I ordered but I got it on the day they promised.

Thanks.

I wasn't "snoozing", since they only announced it August 29th!

That's only 2 weeks ago!

Wow, God forbid you ever check Amazon, since Amazon never has a million and more copies of everything in stock! Yes, because Gamestop is the one and only stop for all your gaming needs, amirite? /gags
