BEAST BODIES!

Post » Wed Sep 14, 2011 12:50 am

Darvin lover ay? So they evolved in Oblivion, then they would evolve even further in Skyrim and have human ears!

In only 200 years? :lmao: Besdies, Darwin doesn't apply on Nirn, it's MAGIC! (as opposed to SCIENCE! :hehe:).

And as people said, Morrowind is the odd one out in this case. They haven't evolved, they had regressed in MW :P

Sorry, but this is a crappy topic. Originally in DF and Arena, the beast races were very similar to humans. Now they have tails, claws, and feline and reptilian features that look very realistic. Truthfully I'm not sure what you are asking for.

I dont get it how can you say its a crappy topic!? And those topic conerning should dragons have two heads, should we have machine guns in skyrim etc. arrent crappy?
Daggerfall and Arena were 2d games and by posibilities they couldn change much about races.
And yes there are few of us who think that those bent beast legs from morrowind were the best choice, and yes its an old game too with poor movement animation so it did look strange.Still with todays technology and capabilities it would look much better.

Yes that's why we must protect them, or else they will be extinct. You wanna take that burden? Well, do ya?!
Besides that try imagining it in new animation engine ;)

People seem to forget that Morrowind has been the only TES game in which the Argonians have had beast legs.

The beast races should look more like beasts and less like humans.

To all the people saying that Morrowind is the odd one out: Vsions himself admitted that they wanted to do beast legs this time, but didn't have enough time. Here's the post:

I hope they can do beast races justice next time, maybe the game is in one of the beast races provinces and then they'll have more time and interest to work on their specific visuals

That's actually awesome :celebration: I had no idea Vsions talked openly about this matter. Knowing that they are trying to make beasty legs means a lot to me :celebration:

Thanks Abe, I mean Cloudrest :)
Just to add, I think they got enough time for making them fit schedule or at least make them seperate so we can mod them appropriately. Cheers man!

Indeed, when they'll have a Argonian or Khajiit protagonist (like the bulky Nord this year) they will want to make it as interesting as possible, to be like a magnet for the masses. i think if they want they can make the beast races awesome, like the WOW worgen!

You forgot to mention they removed their tails too. Beast races now look like they just had a full body paint.

Nobody removed nothing, the Argonian tail is awesome as seen in the leaked PAX gameplay.

Argonians should lick the Hist a bit more. And less.
Khajiit need more skooma. And moonlight. And less!

That'll get the results :)

I very much prefer Morrowind's weird design and this post by Vsions is reassuring
The fact that Arena, Daggerfall and Oblivion had human like beast model doesn't mean a thing in the big picture because, as we all know, each game is a stand alone experience and we've seen a lot of features disappear and then reappear. I wouldn't even bet on the attributes being cut forever, let alone the bent legs. Like Cloudrest said, the more chances to have a game in Black Marsh or Elsweyr, the more chances to have proper beasts bodies and animations.
