i think ulyssess is basing his whole view of the brotherhood on just his interactions with christine and elijah......

are you referring to a different holotape than #2? in this tape, ulysses was talking about the brotherhood (elijah) waking up the big mt to the fact that there was something outside the crater.. and how they appear to blunder along like a drunken dwarf the same way the ncr does.......

i meant in regards to ulysses using full sentences, not as some sort of bash to your transcription.......

Oh no no. I mean yours captures all of Ulysses speech pattern. Mine just transcribes what he says. I'd say mine is the equivalent of reading a book, and yours is a script, the '...' capturing the breaks in his speaking. :laugh:

I interpreted it more like this:

Christine and Elijah came to Big MT so focused on their own selfish goals that they didn't realize nor care that they were awakening Big MT and essentially destroying it by "waking it up" This might be paralleling something that the Courier did to the divide, maybe he was so caught up in what he was doing that he didn't even realize he was hurting the divide. Also, I think he compares the Brotherhood to the NCR because the NCR also has it's own selfish goals and they "roll over people"- Marcus and hurt people without really caring or even realizing their faults.

i just meant my post was a reply to T who said the holotape was one long sentence and i was just pointing out that it wasnt one long sentence, but multiple sentences with alot of ellipses.

then i was afraid you took my post as a fishing for compliments post or somehting and took it as some bash to your transcription.......

it seems ulyssess is doing more than looking to repair the divide..... you dont ask questions like "what makes a nation?" if you are looking to stop a dust storm......

seems he is looking to repair/restore america........ at least to how he views america.....

and it seems ulyssess is blaming the meteorlogical station on the storm in divide and says that the station is still "raking the sky with electricity and generators"....

yet if you go on top of the weather station, sure doent look like it is raking anything......

I think it WAS raking the sky until Ulysses turned it off. Ulysses did say the weather from the Divide lead him to the Big MT, presumably to meteorological station. Just throwing theories, I can't wait to see how all these hints come together next tuesday!

Very true, but bear in mind, Ulysses had already been there, and the Weather Station IS destroyed or ruined on the top, perhaps Ulysses destroyed the generator device thing when he was there?

It is rumored that he is a Cipher... Most likely the latter, though. Too much radiation goes to your head, and you'll eventually get -2 INT. :wacko:

i was wondering how we were going to get around the dlc with a huge storm raging, but you guys cleared that up for me......

the problem i have wiht that is he has not made enough.. any really.... mathematical references to be a cipher.......

I wonder what pattern he was speaking of. I got the red, white and blue markings; but I didnt know they had a significance other than to show he's been there. Guess I'm going back to Big MT..
