@op
yea i always wanted to do this, BUT you have to remember one thing, "speaking in a RP sense" Most likely if you let a bandit live they will go they will do what they always have done, attack and pray on the weak. Also think about all the innocent people they may have killed before they have encountered you. BUT
i would like this option for SOME enemies to react and actually acknowledge that you have shown them mercy and let them live, giving them a chance to turn their life around.....but i doubt we will see this in Skyrim, like a commit said the AI would most likely have the bandit running back to you and fighting you with his fist =/ i think this kinda svcks , maybe in the next Elder scrolls "Black Marsh" NPCs will react to you spearing their lives
and i find it kinda funny reading the commits , some people feel the need to take others lives in order to feel powerful lol sooo pitiful
true power if making people do what you want... making them actually like doing what you demand them
big brother is true power, the highest form of power most of you will never understand.....
but I'm a moralist and diplomat so i wouldn't kill every single person i meet unless they are truly evil
