WRONG INFO?!?!

Post » Fri Sep 16, 2011 5:51 am

just watched the new tokyo gameplay vid and this is what i can say for sure:

1) one handed blocking IS in the game! (alot of topic said that there is no one handed blocking)

2) Charged attack (heavy hit) is in the game!

3) dunno if anybody notice but there are boots and legging for armor. so it is boots, legs, helment gloves and torso. 5 different armor parts. more then enough

4) as for People claming the game looks to easy because you can take 3 bandits head on right on the start in the game, is because in the demo you get pretty decent equipment and campred to 150 dungeons lots of towns and open world encounters there is alot of enemies you will encounter, so 3 bandits as a start pretty sure it should be easy.

I think blocking with a one handed weapon is only available when you have one hand free. So if you've got two daggers you won't be able to block. I think that's right anyway.

There has always been on handed blocking. You can even see it in one of the official screenshots!

What all topics have been saying and that has been confirmed, is that there's no blocking with dual wielding or when wielding one spell and one weapon in each hand.

1) there is one handed blocking if nothing is in you other hand. There is no dual-wielding blocking

nope you have 4 types of armor Torso+legs in one, boots, helm, and gauntlets, one handed blocking if you mean dual-wielding there is parry, i don't know who said about no heavy hit, if you hold button longer and release there is heavy hit like in TES 4 Oblivion....

Actually it never hit me but yes when he loots the bandits there was leg armor
Fur leg greaves
Maybe only certain types of armor have a leg slot
Im gonna re check

EDIT: nope its called studded armor
It just shows the legs of it though
Maybe u can look at both curaiss and greaves in inventory when u look at "elven armor"

Believe it or not, there were still quite a few people insure about 1 handed blocking. Even with a empty hand.

1) *SIGH* If you actually bothered to read them properly, you'd realise that in every thread there have been several people telling you that one-handed blocking IS IN THE GAME. It's only impossible to block if you have something equipped in your off hand that isn't a shield - so:
  • Two-handed weapon: CAN BLOCK
  • One-handed weapon + shield: CAN BLOCK
  • One-handed weapon + empty hand: CAN BLOCK
  • One-handed weapon plus spell: CANNOT BLOCK
  • One-handed weapon + torch/staff: CANNOT BLOCK
  • Dual-wielding: CANNOT BLOCK

It's really not that hard.

2) I don't think I've ever seen anyone say it wasn't...

3) I didn't actually notice that, but we've had enough developers saying that greaves and cuirasses are joined to suggest that it is the case for at least some armour.

4) Again, I don't think this was ever in doubt.

You've not been given any "WRONG INFO?!?!" - you just haven't listened.

That's also what I understood. One handed blocking was only possible if the other hand was empty.

It actually hard to pay attention to some stuff on here cause everyone fights all the time about everything, I actually didn't know for sure about one hand weapon + empty hand blocking and I'm here almost everyday for hours.
