sorry if this has already been posted i searched and couldn't find anything, anyway when you're overencumbered is it like fallout 3 where you can move but slowly because it annoyed me in oblivion when i couldn't move over to a chest or cabinet to put my stuff in so does anyone know?

i hope its like fallout. it doesnt make sense that you suddenly cant move at all when carrying, say, 1kg more than you did when running around 1 min earlier

When I think about the tons of virtual junk I have stored in my virtual houses never to be used...

Yeah, but in Fallout you could actually still walk while somehow carrying 30 suits of power armor.

I hope it's like Oblivion. There should be a limit where you just can't go on anymore, and it adds a real consequence to the game.

they should make it where you don't even slow down until you've gone a couple over the limit i had a really annoying situation where i picked up loads of heavy armor and weapons and was fine until i picked up a fork

Yeah, it was a big improvement in Fallout. The old encumber system actually killed one of my MW characters. I was in a cave in Bloodmoon when I got swarmed by those women who summoned bonewalkers. It was like a 14 v 1 by the time they all summoned stuff, and I got hit by 7 drain strength spells. I killed all 14 of them while standing in one place, but couldn't move and my character could carry 0 lbs. I only had 1 save for the character, no restore strength potions, no intervention spells/scross/mark/recall. Can't remember if I could move when I dropped everything or not, but I decided it wasn't worth the hassle and went back to my old character.

Maybe they should increase the limit to be the limit plus one fork.

Not being able to jump, run and fast travel is a pretty severe consequence.

By the way, yes it works like that.
