Game starting place confirmed!

personal message this guy and see if hes legit

It's legit; numerous people have seen the videos, they're easily found on either youtube or gametrailers. Wouldn't bend the rules like this, but a thread full of people acting paranoid is worthless.

Guys, the video can easily be found on youtube if you want to see for yourself. I can confirm he speaks the truth as I've seen the vid. Why would he make stuff like that up? lol :P

Oh really? Someone actually speaking the truth?!? :bolt:

This is how i want to Start the Game, not have some Inmate tell me after escaping that i must go to Riverwood and some guy will help me that includes a Golden Claw that will Eventually lead me to a Wall that Unlocks the Power of Dragon Shouts.

I Escape the Prison with my Friend and he gets Crushed by a Boulder or get eaten by a Dragon, then im Allone in the World witch will allow me to go and do whatever i want.

Eventually with some time in the Game, i Kill a Dragon but notice that its Soul is being diverted into me and i feel Powerful, thus causing a Shout and i also hear a Voice in the Air.

I go to Town and tell People what has happend and even Prove my Shout Power from the Disbelieving Folks, Rumors start to follow and i ask More Questions about it till i get to Riverwood where i meet the BlackSmith (wether i met him before or not) i tell him what has Happend, then the MQ starts to Develop and Esbern finds me out.

I actually liked the way Morrowind did it, slowly introducing you to the world, without too much urgency. It gave you tiem to get used to the mechanics before it became obvious what the big story was about.

In Oblivion there's an awful lot of fighting very early on, prior to the slower paced fetching of ritual ingredients. You're already a hero in Kvatch and later Saviour of Bruma, in some ways your story ends there, and the rest is you as a Kenobi figure, helping the main character achieve hsi destiny. I didn't hate it as much as a lot of people did, but once Martin was safe in Cloud Ruler Temple, I went off to explore the world properly, not returning until much later for the investigation with Baurus.

I suppose in Skyrim I'll follow the leads for a bit, as would be logical for an escaped prisoner, but as soon as it calms down, I'm off exploring.

The main reason I avoided the MQ in Oblivion was because I HATED the zillions of OB gates that appeared as soon as you rescued Martin from Kvatch, but in Skyrim the dragons will be there as soon as you start the game, so I won't feel as bad about playing the MQ at least up to the point where I meet the greybeards and am really able to collect dragon souls and shouts. Hopefully the dragons won't multiply rediculously as you progress in the MQ to the point where all you can do is kill dragons, but I don't think that will be the case

Sounds about right. Also the last game file in the leaked quakecon footage said Helgen so I reckon Skyrim will start in Helgen.

(assuming this is even true), I hope the game doesn't open up with the player single-handedly defeating a dragon at level 1. An encounter is one thing... but to fight one, and win so early on would be kinda cheesy. It would really spoil the whole intimidation factor of dragons. "Oh look a dragon... whoop-dee-doo... I killed one of those the first day I stepped foot into Skyrim."

I mean they already told you you're in prison and make an escape. They just never told us the name of the prison (or town) and how we escaped. Even then we still don't know how we escaped, just what caused our escape.
