New location after LR

Post » Fri Sep 16, 2011 9:11 am

The trailer of LR show us an amazing supah killa electrical energy weapon...but if we pay more attention on what lies behind it we can see some legion crosses and a pair of legion flag.Fact is that i cannot find that location anywhere...thats not Cottonwood cove...the layout is different, since the crosses are on the road coming from west. The air seem filled by post-nuke fog.Since i don't think that a nuke can make crosses appear from nonwere in one of the locations we already have...the trailer might indicated that one or more location will become accessible after the dlc (similary to rockland car tunnel and the satellite rely thing in F3)...does this make sense or i just got allucinations?
EDIT..0.40 and 1.08

Could be...but for what i saw,the climate of the divide is totally different from the one near that river...AND...only the most anvanced scouts and frumentaarii of the legion were sent to the divide from what i've read...the idea of them crucifissing an planting their flag there is really unlikely..My english is getting worst and worst....

Well the climate effects don't have to apply to the entire new realm of the DLC...just as the sandstorms only apply to the more barren southern portions of desert in the Mojave.

I'm hoping that there are some unique and long-lost Legionnaires to battle in the Great Divide to mix things up a little. I'm tired of those same damn hit squads over and over.

It could also be a location in LR some distance from the divide, it would make much sense to call the dlc Loansome Road and show long streches of road in the trailer but not have us actually journey to the divide, I'll agree the divide clearly has its own unique weather but it seems pretty likely that there'd be other locations on the road there.

Hrmm, then perhaps our access point to the Great Divide is a Legion travel route cut through the mountains much like the trade route we used to access Zion.

It is entirely possible there could be some Legionnaires that were stranded when SHTF. After all, there was a catastrophe of sorts. NCR trade routes were apparently disrupted, but the Legion has a robust network of well-trained scouts even though they largely operate with brute force. In that sense Legionnaires can be rather desperate. I'm putting my money on the Legion being the only ones folly enough to still be navigating the route, but as you said it's anyone's guess.
