My first character is gonna be the "Generic Nord Dovahkiin"

The one in the background of this forum. I'm gonna get the armor and everything.

I'll mostly use a Sword and Spell, but sometimes a shield and sometimes a bow.

Also, Nords should have the Berserk ability.

If it makes any sense (probably doesn't), imagine a Nord who is skilled in combat, but focuses on stealth. Both cause he enjoys it, and cause it gives him the upper hand with the first strike, and the element of surprise.

That's me. Bow and Blade, usually. But because of how awesome the axes look in Skyrim, I might use one.


Since this installment is based off of Nords, I will be one first. But throughout the series, the Bosmer has the skillset I desire.

I have no opinion on Nords.

I'll probably play one on my second playthrough, or maybe in my first one if the way the Bosmer feel does not suit me.

EDIT: I'm really liking this thread. Finding out how many people are like me. It may sound corny, but it's enjoyable.

Had the idea for awhile now and after watching Thor I'm going to do it. My Nord will be THOR and will wield 1 handed Hammers and if lacking maybe a mace, as long as its blunt, but hammers mostly. He will use lightning magic and runes. I'm not sure if I'm focusing on Heavy armor or Light but it will be enchanted with physical and magic resistance if it can. I will RP him as arrogant and looking for a fight but helpful to people in distress. When he falls in love and gets married he will calm down and then just be protective and "guardian" like and not look for trouble.

I was wishing they had spears in the game then I would have made a Loki too, spears, ice magic, summons, and illusion.

I want my male "Nord" character to look like Conan The Barbarian but with long straight "blonde" hair actually, and, his name would be "Conabur".

My first characters going to be a nord. Though actually when I get the game I'm goin to make about 3 characters for each race and spend 3 days in the character creation the Nord is going to be the first one I actually use and complete the main quest with.

My character name will be Skirbrandr Or "shiny sword" in old Norse. And I will be a dark blonde haired viking with one heck of a beard and hazel eyes. What bothers me is that not all vikings were blonde. Well natural blondes. Blond was the favored color so they dyed it that way before blonde and blue became common place. My Dad and Grandpa have always had the dark blonde almost brunette hair with hazel eyes throughout our all Norse genealogy.
Back to my character. Weapons types?: Any weapon be it magic, blade or fist that best fits my needs for crushing my enemies. Why am I in jail? Don't remember, but my bloody knuckles suggest my last memory of me going into the tavern led to a good night good night full of mead.

It's both Elvish and Norse/Nordic. I could go dig up both meanings if you like.

I made it cause I AM Norwegian, therefore a viking. But I LOVE stealth, and the Bosmer (as well as other elves from different fantasy universes) are the most stealthy. So, I chose the road that fits both. I'm a viking with Elvish tactics. =]

Ohh yeah, I love the nords, Im also 100% norwegian and have lived many years of my life in a small mountain village in norway. I think its great that skyrim is sett in a nordic enviroment, it makes me happy :celebration: and yes I will play as a nord in Skyrim

Thanks! Been following this game (and the forum) for a long time now, but seeing this thread made me register. Yeah werevolves sound like they could be a ton of fun, definitely looking forward to that.

@ Lushon: Yeah it's an interesting setting if done well, even if you've lived here for a couple of decades. You should check out "Valhalla Rising", which for some reason reminds me of what Skyrim could be like, at it's darkest. It's a slow movie but well made.

Well, I carry a multi-tool with me sometimes. So you could say I have even more knives.


Get ye some big, old iron gauntlets and a bigger belt buckle. You'll be fine with a tunic for the rest. For extra credit, grow a conspicuous head of red hair.

Edit: On another note, it's interesting that nobody ever mentions that many vikings left Scandinavia never to return, leaving the less adventurous behind.
